USC Morning Buzz: Time To Check Out The Goooold Sheet’s Pick

The venerable betting publication, the Gold Sheet, picks Arizona to defeat USC, 40-28.

“USC handled more-traditional Stanford and Oregon State, but Troy was sliced and diced by Boston College and Arizona State. USC 4-11 vs. the number last 15 away.”

  1. The Gold Sheet picked SC to beat ASU so I’m not sure they really know much. I think SC can win this game if the defense steps up and the offense can be consistent and consistently score points.
    I’d say SC wins 35-28.

  2. USC can win if the “coaching” gets stuck in traffic and can’t make it to the game.

  3. My wife and I are having some guests over to watch the game. Based on past experience, that pretty much guarantees a USC loss. Sorry, everybody.

        • “Dyslexic scrabble” is what USC’s D appeared to be playing when Bercovicitortellini made it rain on the hail mary last Saturday!

          #BAZINGA!

    • That’s ok Webb. There is one thing Sark can do to improve things. Turn the menu over to Clay Helton. Helton along with Clancy Pendergast both subscribe to the K.I.S.S theory. ( keep it simple stupid). Happy eating tomorrow.

  4. Welcome to the new Pac-12, where nearly every team has a better than average chance of winning the game.

And so SC and SUCLA’s seasons depend on tomorrow’s games, which are both virtually toss-ups.

This is no way to have a great season

  5. “sliced and diced”? Let’s keep things in perspective Scottie. USC lost to BC by 6 points and to ASU by 4 points. Each game came down to the closing minutes/seconds. Yes USC lost some style points in the BC game, but played well for 3.5 quarters against ASU. These games hardly qualify for a “sliced and diced” classification – even by your journalistic standards. A 50-0 whooping, now that’s being sliced and diced!

    • Hilary/Helen do they call you Red becauxe of the large, ugly red, perpetual zit on the tip of your nose?

  6. Wolfman, you KNOW i love you like a blood brother, but take a knee, i GOT THIS!!

Todd “Suge” McNair’s hearing is now CONTINUED to 10-27-14!!

recall, this is merely a hearing to determine if the case has enough merit to even go forward!!

so basically, four years after the suit was filed, they are still fighting over whether the suit should be DISMISSED or not and whether the court docs should remain sealed!! so clearly the case has little or no merit. however i for ONE am hoping the documents are UNSEALED so the Cadre legal team can break them down and possibly request ADDITIONAL sanctions be levied by the NCAA!!

    • In case anyone is curious, what Bucket really means is that oral argument before the Court of Appeals was delayed. The NCAA is appealing the trial court’s denial of (1) the NCAA’s motion to dismiss the case, and (2) the NCAA’s motion to keep its own embarrassing documents under seal. The NCAA had filed something called an antiSLAPP motion (it’s not worth getting into the details of that) in an attempt to shut down McNair’s case, and the motion was denied by the trial court, so the NCAA appealed that ruling.

While this case has been going on for a long time, the appeals process is often very slow.

      • listen, bub, what Bucket “really means” is exactly what Bucket says.

McNair is looking for a payday because an investigator called him “a lying morally bankrupt criminal, in my view, and a hypocrite of the highest order.”

the Cadre considers the truth to be a viable affirmative defense to a defamation law suit. So Let It Be Written, So Let It Be DONE!!!

…and WEB, don’t you EVER obstruct a Cadre investigation again, or we’ll impose sanctions on YOU.

    • Amen to that. Did Todd McNair update Little Petey Pom-Pom (who didn’t know squat) on Todd’s sub-rosa R. Bush information? I think Todd did, so Little Petey was fully aware of Bush’s family money scam.

    • ! e the cheef inspeckter! At work they call me!

  7. This is no reflection on the players , who deserve better coaching than what they are getting, but if this coaching staff gets off to a bad first quarter…play calling…decisions…etc. Arizona will run them out of the stadium. I’m talking about them hanging 60 points on SC.
