Schedule Quirk

Colorado had a bye last weekend and every Pac-12 South team that faces the Trojans either has a bye or is coming off a midweek game. Pac-12 commissioner Larry Scott said he did not know why it happened.

“It has not ever come up,” Scott said. “I don’t know if that’s a fluky thing.”

  1. We’re the program that has always defined the conference and always shall.

If bel-air tech had that happen to half of their games ‘jimmah’ would use it as the reason they lost – he’d say it for the past two weeks and he’d mean it to.

    • UCLA always pops up in your posts. Obsessed much with the superior program crosstown? At least our coach doesn’t throw his players under the bus like Siete.

      • 1-2 in conference? Unranked? Players punching opponents. Head coach and DC having a hot-head match on the sidelines? Hasn’t won a big game since 2006? Sure sounds superior.

          • All the way back to the 90’s for their last RB game…..says a lot about the program

          • Dynasty? Is Linda Evans playing tight end?….And we already know that Joan Collins is their defensive coordinator, with John Forsythe as the head coach………

          • All the way back three coaches ago since the gutty little troggies beat UCLA…says a lot about the program.

        • Says the fan whose team doesn’t have to play Oregon this year. At least we didn’t lose to a pathetic BC team that ran for an unthinkable 500+ yards against pUSC’s laughable D, or an ASU team that we completely dominated and dismantled 62-27.

          • Whatever floats your boat. Near losses to memphis, texas, and Virginia with losses to Utah and oregon. Ugly only looked like the better team in 1 of their games. Ugly still has to play arizona, uw, usc and stanford. Ugly will be lucky to go 2-2 in those games.

          • “The last time an unranked BC team beat a top 10 foe was a 2002 victory over No. 4 Notre Dame in South Bend that cost the Irish a chance at the national championship. This one could be even more shocking, following the Eagles’ lackluster loss to Pittsburgh last week. The Trojans quickly went from being mentioned as a potential College Football Playoff participant to a team too immature to handle the limelight. The 452 rushing yards were the most the Trojans have given up since the 1977 Bluebonnet Bowl, when Texas A&M put up 486.”

            Lose on!

          • Typical UGLY bRuin, can’t post anything relevant. Enjoy the game in Berkeley, the gutties haven’t won there since 1998!

      • How can UGLY NOT pop up in posts by USC fans on here. UGLY trolls post here ALL THE TIME. Talk about obsession!!!! Go post on the baby bear boards! Why do you post here if YOU are not obsessed. Idiot troll.

    • “The Bruins were a trendy College Football Playoff pick during the preseason, but after home losses to Utah and Oregon the past two weeks, that possibility is practically gone. Outside of its 62-27 win at Arizona State, UCLA simply has not impressed, and quarterback Brett Hundley is no longer a major player in the Heisman race.”

      • Heck, if Jim Harbaugh winds of taking the Michigan job, as rumored, then the 49ers would be in the market for cheek squeezing head coach like Mora…

        • Not after this season. Both popular candidates for the post-Harbaugh job, Shaw and Mora, have disappointed this year. I’d doubt the Niners are all that enthusiastic about either one.

          • You may be right, but the way that their respective teams finish this season may change that tune

          • He should come back. Lord knows he’s not proving he’s ready to play on Sundays so far. He’s extremely talented but so was EJ Manuel

        Hahahaha. Nice try, Troll-tickla.

    • Scottie is also known as Captain Quirk….to boldly go where no sports writer has gone before. ….

    • I give it to Ed O who started things in the right direction. In the 7 games under Ed, Buck averaged 10.11 YPC. So far this year he is averaging 5.7 YPC, 2nd only to Vainuku at 6.7. I give the main credit to Edward, who recognized the talent and got the ball rolling.

      • I wouldn’t give Orgeron too much credit. Justin Davis and Tre Madden were both running the ball really well until they became injured and gave Buck Allen an opportunity. And let’s not forget who found Buck Allen out in Florida and recruited him to USC.

      • Actually if you followed USC, you’d know that Clay Helton was the play caller last year on offense and is the one responsible for what Buck Allen is doing right now.

  2. yet Gollum will continue to disregard blatant jobbing of usc by all n cfb.. smfh… at wolf…

  3. You know the gutties are back to earth when their trolls are posting about their incoming recruits, and not the season at hand.

    • Got you to look at the next QB to scorch the gutty little troggies though, didn’t I? Actually, very excited about this season, with our only losses coming to playoff contender Oregon and a very good #21 Utah team. And thanks to Arizona’s terrible kicker, the little troggies did us a favor by handing the Mildcats their first P12 loss–only helping UCLA’s chances of once again winning the P12S (something pUSC has never done). Now, who were your two losses against? Oh, that’s right, a terrible BC team that ran for more than 500 yards against your terrible D, and an ASU team that the Bruins trounced 62-27. Can’t wait for Brett Hundley to run past your inept D again this year–pUSC has no answer for him or Mora.

  4. Wow!!!!!!!! Amazing talent!!!! If and that is big IF, when Hundley leaves, Rosen is ready to take ove, he can pass and he can extend plays.with his running abilities.
