Here’s a position-by-position and coaching analysis of USC as the Trojans start the second half of the season. Excerpt: “(Steve) Sarkisian puts a human face on the program, a welcome change from the Kiffin era. But sometimes the coaching staff looks all too human. The defense was confused and amateurish against Boston College and the play signals got crossed before the Hail Mary play by Arizona State.
“That puts defensive coordinator Justin Wilcox under scrutiny, especially after last year’s consistency under the dry Clancy Pendergast.”
Wolfman, now whats needed is a systemic analisys of of the uniforms — shoes, socks, helmets, jerseys, the works.
Meanwhile, in the NFL……….Fight on!

When Coach O was dismissed as interim head coach of USC last season, players openly wept…..how many of them would shed as much as a tear if Wilcox were let go?……
Why compare Wilcox with Orgeron, a near legendary asst coach and RC with so many years of high profile successful attachment to USC? Just wondering.
Sorry that I took so long to reply to your query….I was just waxing nostalgic yesterday after reading this article on Coach O….

Wilcox has that transitional feel to him, so I don’t think that the players have the same “run through a brick wall” connection as they did with Coach O…..
Your right. Pendergast is still on payroll with USC. Just sayin.
no team facing USC this year is going to be in danger of being out-coached.
(UCLA might.)
Now Wolfie is charging to read his thoughts– sorry, I will pass
I will say one thing about Sark that I am sure our boy glossed over or did not address. The coach’s boys look like they play very hard for him, which is a sign of respect.
