I’m still not sure how “quarterfinalist” means 20 but the Lott Trophy named its 20 finalists and defensive end Leonard Williams was one of the them. Here’s the full list:
Vic Beasley, DE, Clemson
Shilique Calhoun, DE, Michigan State
Henry Coley, LB, Virginia
Landon Collins, S, Alabama
Ronald Darby, CB, Florida State
Michael Doctor, LB, Oregon State
Bud Dupree, DE, Kentucky
Ifo Ekpre-Olomu, CB, Oregon
Randy Gregory, DE, Nebraska
David Helton, LB, Duke
A.J. Johnson, LB, Tennessee
Eric Kendricks, LB, UCLA
Hau’oli Kikaha, DE, Washington
Ryan Mueller, DE, Kansas State
Jordan Richards, S, Stanford
Deterrian Shackelford, LB, Ole Miss
Danny Shelton, DT, Washington
Eric Striker, LB, Oklahoma
Jaylon Smith, LB, Notre Dame
Leonard Williams, DT, USC
Then why don’t you ask the question, Scottie?…..or did you destroy your relationship with Ronnie Lott, too?
Well, since there will be more than two finalists, it’s not hard to imagine there being more than 4 semifinalists or 8 quarterfinalists. It just means they all made the second-to-last cut before the winner is chosen from the finalists.
Lendale wants on the list too. How dare they disrespect him like this. #clowncollege
I see you changed from Compton G screenname
How about this tricky math…
Quarterfinals – 20 people
Cut that in half
Semifinals – 10 people
Cut that in half
Finalists – 5
Select one winner. Magic!
More importantly, what color socks will the finalists wear?
I was wondering what happened to Hayes Pullard? Wasn’t he ALL CONFERENCE / an all american candidate? I can hear Hayes now saying….”I wasn’t even supposed to be there”…when asked about not being a quarterfinalist…
