USC-UCLA Kickoff Announced Sunday, No Pac-12 Network

USC v. UCLA

The networks are using the six-day option to decide the kickoff times of games on Nov. 22. But there are four options for USC-UCLA: 12:30 p.m. PT (either ABC/ESPN2 or ESPN), 1 p.m. PT (FOX Sports 1), 4 p.m.(ESPN2) or 5 p.m. (ABC).

Got it? Two great things from this already. No 7:30 kickoff and the game will not be on the Pac-12 Network. Game time will be announced Sunday.

  1. I guess the schools sold out to the networks for all those millions. They are the schools’ boss now, and they will determine which games deserve prime time. I don’t think this game will be one of them.

    • TV’s loss. I personally think this game is gonna be a barnburning, heavy-hitting, bitter nailbiter that will pit two fairly evenly matched teams (UCLA the edge with Hundley).

        • I think USC will only win if they can run for 200 yds. If the Trojans can’t move the ball on the ground when they need to, forget about it. I’ve seen this ending before with these guys.

          • That seems like an awful lot of rushing yards, although UCLA did allow 366 yards on 72 plays (5.1 per play), including 211 rushing yards, to Washington……

          • Let’s face it. Hundley’s gonna hammer us again. We’re gonna have to have a great day offensively, or I just don’t see us keeping up with the scrambler.

          • It sort of depends on which UCLA OL shows up… the one that allowed 10 sacks to Utah? And 3rd down conversions to sustain drives to allow our defense to rest, as well as turnovers, will play a key role in the outcome of the game, as they usually do.

        • God, I hope that’s Clown College’s gameplan for UCLA – you do know you aren’t playing Colorado’s defense that day, right?? …”bomb after bomb” LMAO!

          #BombsAway = #BlowoutUCLA

          Good luck!

          • You are right Mcweiner, USC will play ugly’s pass defense and if ugly doesn’t hold on every play, USC will bomb ugly all day long.

  2. overlooking the Cal game could allow their blog writer to outscore bucket’s idle (sic)

    • Haven’t read one thing about the Cal game or injury updates for THIS THURSDAY’s game on this “one great Blog”

      • All this info is already all over the Web in other places and has been for a long time. No reason to ever come here for that stuff. You come here to find out things like odds, shies, helmets, where Matt Leinart and Lane Kiffin are and why an old USC building has a bear on it – though you’ll often never get answers.

        • Don’t forget about the Wolf driven controversy surrounding the Nike swoosh on the cleats of the statue of legendary head coach John McKay…..got Spot Bilt?

        • Don’t forget what the invenerable Goooold sheet thinks, what sort of condiments Ed O puts on his ham, the stories behind obscure statues tucked into the nooks and crannies of the SC campus, innumerable updates reporting that there’s no date set for Wilcox’s return, and how many plays Adoree Jackson and Juju Smith play each game. It’s just a notch below the BBC.

  3. The photograph above says it all – a big loud kudos to both Rick Neuheisel and Pete Carroll in forcing the NCAA to allow both schools to wear their home uniforms.

I agree with Jack – this is going to be a statement game – neither Sark nor Mora can ill afford to lose THIS game THIS year – for Sark it will be horrific going into the Notre Dame game with the risk of losing that one as well and the screams to have his head on a pike ‘but’ for Mora equally impacting –

His constant reminder of the last game loss of 0 – 50 before he took over is not going to sit well with a pre-season final four, Heisman Trophy candidate and all in his 3rd year – suddenly back to being ‘guttie’ as usual – no this will be a tough physical match-up.

Love to see this aired in prime time – most of the solid rivalry games will be played on the following Saturday 29th November- this very well could get national coverage. The sole 5:00 pm PST evening conflicts will be AZ @ UT or OK St. @ Baylor

  4. So after reading this blurb I don’t know anymore than I did before. The game could start any time after 12:30 and before 7:30. What’s the difference between a 7:30 game and a 5pm game, it’s still dark. This game MUST start at 12:30 or 1 at the latest. Historically the game is played on a beautiful Sunny day. The past several games in the dark have been really sad to watch, not just because they haven’t been close on either side, but it’s not the game it should be in the dark.

    • Well, Sally the game 2-years ago in 2012 was played in total daylight except for the fact it rained for much of the game. That was when SUCL got off to a hot start and looked as if they would kill SC, but the Trojans clawed back to within 3 until SUCLA got a late td to clinch it.

      Fun game.

  5. Hey ugly fans, will you guys get done with your pizza deliveries before kickoff? Just wondering.
