Josh Shaw Update

SHAW.2Cornerback Josh Shaw has spoken for the first timeĀ since his initial apology for lying about saving his nephew in an interview with the Los Angeles Times. The question is why?

I’ve heard for several weeks that Shaw is upset USC will not clear him to play and expected to be reinstated during the bye week. That did not happen and now Shaw is going public.

Sources have told me Shaw is frustrated with USC’s administration and feels they will not clear him even if the LAPD officially closes the case. Time is running out with only two regular-season games after tonight. Shaw believes USC just wants his case to go away.

So that’s why he went public to put pressure on USC. Will it work?

    • My sources tell me that Bucket was one of Scottie’s “other sources” and he heard it from a friend who read it on the Internet.

    • Hey ever tried to post on the Times board? Good luck – the hall monitors they have there don’t allow anything unless some Boxer-Feinstein doyen permits such….Jack our Jack…why? Gone are the days….Bobbie…Teddie…Eleanor….Jimmah (oops wait a minute there is ah new ‘jimmah’ – this fool be from WA but ain’t like the original from GA – he has a bit of a temper but he isn’t a moron as most demokratiche partei are…goooo barakska….wreck the usa some more you spoiled little brat

  1. Hey Scottie… NEWSFLASH !!!!……..we ALL want this case to go away…..except for you……

  2. Wolfie has no sources here, as usual. Once again, he was upstaged by a better reporter big-time and is now trying to save face by pretending he’s heard stuff “for several weeks.” Sure Wolfie, Mr. TMZ, always holding back.

Truth is, Shaw’s lawyer (the biggest factor by far), as well as USC (not about to be undermined again by Shaw), finally gave Shaw permission to speak with the press, indicating the stage is set and he’ll probably be ruled eligible to play after the Cal game. But the case has to be officially, not just unofficially, closed by the authorities first.

    • Fool me once shame on you fool me twice…..

That sums it up – in fact, per Plaschke, when Shaw finally admitted his creation of his false story Asst. AD McKay bluntly told him “I know”.

Josh Shaw has nothing to be angry about – this is a defining moment just as Notre Dame took a stand against the 4-5 accused of grades – Sarkisian has no say in this matter – this is a university matter Haden is not going to re-instate Shaw.

The train has left the station – get ready for the NFL combine

    • yes, because what SC wants is an out of shape Josh Shaw coming back and creating a PR s hit storm just before UCLA and ND. Good call.

      • Hey how about you and the other cling ons i.e. Wooden descendants – go gather at some lemonade stand (no joy juice here) and reminisce on how sweet the ‘con’ was until the money train went dry….

    • It appears from the outside that USC has been silly about it.

I have yet to hear that one person spoke or tried to speak to the GF. Including the press. How did that happen?

Anyway, without having practice in a long time, how could he really be ready to play? I would expect minor impact if he were to play the last two games.

He’ll go to the NFL, tarnished and a little rusty.

  3. Why does your hyperlink take us to the watered down version of the story by SI?…… Why aren’t you taking us directly to the REAL source of this story (LA Times)?

  4. What’s the saying “You made your bed, now you must lie in it” … If you wanted to do stoopid stuff and play, you should have stayed at Florida or transfer to Florida St.
