Steve Sarkisian On Officiating

USC coach Steve Sarkisian on the Trojans’ 14 penalties:

“I am going to refrain from getting a fine.”

  1. I laugh at that statement Steve Sakisian made, because I saw several holding penalties against USC that the referees did not call. This dude is a piece of work..lol!!! Unbelievable

    • There is probably a callable penalty on every play depending on the lens through which you look. Holding can be the difference between where the hands are placed and the angle the ref stands.

But calling pass interference where there is none, or calling a touchdown null on a play that was clearly the same play used to beat you a couple weeks ago, does not make anyone happy. Hands to the face? I could go on but suffice it to say these refs should be reviewed out of a job soon.

  2. The refs did make calls that were not there as well. On the fumble recovery, sc was penalized for a face mask. John Jacson and Pete Arbogast said it was not there. Refs had an agenda last night and that was not to let the game get out of control and to have as much tv time as possible.

  3. It would have been fair for him to say, “We got a way with an obvious defensive holding on a long pass that would have been a TD, so I can’t really complain.”
