Is College GameDay On Way?

ABC is doing the USC-UCLA game next week, and there are not a lot of great matchups next weekend. So will College GameDay set up at the Rose Bowl?

UPDATED: GameDay will be at Harvard-Yale instead.

  1. It should. UCLA will come into the crosstown rivalry game ranked #9 or #10 in the nation, with SC poised to play the spoiler and keep their P12S hopes alive. THIS is what a great rivalry is all about.

    • The “real” rivalry = total SC domination.

You guys got lucky a few jerks at the NcAA decided to get all gangnum style against SC and their overpowering ways.

      Dont worry, the good times will be back real soon along with the 50-0 a s s w h o o p i n s

        • I’m impressed what this team has done overall (you know, the team this blog is based on), not a single game did they get truly beat – close games to the end (much like Pete Carroll’s teams)

If the bruins win, and Vegas says they will, it’s not going to be easy, and if anything has a better chance of being downright embarrassing on the bruin side of the ball – moreso than on the Trojan side.

Don’t you agree? Seriously, which team has a better chance of being embarrassed?

          WAR TIME

  2. Yes it shall and rightfully so – all the other possible match-ups are no where near as enticing as this one ‘and’ most of the traditional rivalry games are set for the following Saturday 29th Nov. 2014.

Beautiful setting – huge turn out – for UCLA win out and onto the Pac-12 CG for Troy – still need another loss by AZ St..

  3. Why not? The 1st and 2nd place teams in the Pac 12 south, with the division very much up for grabs now. Of course Boston C is taking on Fla St. How will SC look if the Eagles take them down? The only other semi big game is Baylor and OSU. Hype up the Rose Bowl!

  4. So, if Sark can somehow manage a win against the three J school and UA beats the scum devils, SC is in the title game ?

  5. Can Florida St. finally get it out of the way and lose so we don’t have to watch them waste a slot in the final four, because they have less than 0 chance of competing against a team that doesn’t suck. Everybody knows they’re gonna lose. If they actually beat Florida, which they won’t, the committee should do their jobs and keep them out.

    • How do you keep out a team that won last year’s NC and hasn’t been beat in two seasons?

I am a Winston-hater now too, but you are living in a fantasy world if u think they are not the top ranked team in the nation right now – football is played on the FIELD – period

      #areyoubucketsmom?

      • No, college football is not “played on the field” and never has been.

We’re closer now than ever before, but we still don’t have the only rational way of determining a national champion: a playoff of conference champs.

No more popularity polls, just competition.

      • Wolftard, this isn’t about records or on the field competition. It’s a bunch of crusty old white men and a black lady deciding who the best 4 teams are in college football. Of course it’s not fair that a team that beat every team they played doens’t make the final 4, but we all agree that Marshall is not worthy. FSU is not worthy either, based mainly on the product they have put on the field. They won all their games, but they don’t stand a snowballs chance in hell of COM-PETE-ING against the elite of CFB. This means half the SEC and anybody in the REAL top 4. FSU can’t compete. And they shouldn’t be allowed to play in the final 4. And I’m going to take one step further and Guarantee (there goes that word again) that FSU Does Not make it to the Final 4.

        • Oh Sandy, how did you achieve such a moniker, anyway? Too many lemon drops before a midnight stroll on the beach?

Anyway, it’s like this – it would be complete blasphemy if an undefeated Noles team were not part of the final 4. They beat the winner of the SEC for the championship, and haven’t been beat since.

I assume you are referring to a hypothetical one loss Noles team that doesn’t make it – and that’s unlikely.

You are crazy, but I like it.

  6. Can ASU lose to Washington St at home (not likely) or
    to Arizona at Tuscon (possibly)?

Can SUCLA beat both SC and Stanford?– Yes, although odds are against them

Can SC beat SUCLA?– Trojans hold a better future than SUCLA, but this game is being played in 2014 with Hundley at the helm. Of course, SC has a chance if it can move the ball freely.
