Josh Shaw Was Cornerback When Suspended But USC Needs Him At Safety

Josh Shaw was highly valued as a cornerback entering the season. But freshman Adoree Jackson’s emerged as the Trojans’ top cornerback while the safety position is thin with Su’a Cravens mainly playing linebacker.

So does Shaw return at safety instead? Gerald Bowman and Leon McQuay started against California in the Trojans’ previous game and he could probably stand a better chance to start there than at cornerback right now.

  1. Let’s see, Josh Shaw, SUCC grad and FB captain, invents the “rescue yarn,” rudely lies to his HC, allows SUCC: the University to host a media circus that winds up with SUCC sustaining a huge shiner and labeled Clown U.

But JS can play football, so all is forgiven. LOL.

    • Let’s see – You are a troll and Shaw wasn’t going to win with you anyway.

      • Juan Lopez never reply to this poor soul nor the others who squat here – never ever reply. This is all they have – they marinate in their caustic vitriol every moment of their poor exhausted lives – never ever reply.

          • True but here it reminds me of this nasty little hole up Lytle Creek – all the way past ‘Happy Jack Campground’ there’s a fire range used by the NRA for M1 Girand and other rifles – well not too far and just around the corner on the dirt road before you hit the paved road in the little hamlet of ‘Scotland’ and return down to I-15 there’s this ‘box canyon’ and in said canyon are nothing but pickups and tractor trailers dumping out washing machines, clothes dryers, and then out comes their weaponry – full on autos……

A true free fire zone – you’re on your own.

        • Rusoviet – You are right, but sometimes i can’t help myself. Will try to do better – scouts honor!!

        • Otis, so a my recap of Shaw’s transgressions is caustic vitriol. I guess that’s truth, justice and the Soviet way.

    • So Shaw doesn’t just lie to his HC……. he “rudely” lies……the nerve of that guy……pull his scholarship!……suspend him from USC for life!…. disassociate ourselves from him, indefinitely, like we did Reggie Bush!……I’m glad we didn’t overreact on this, unlike some trolls around here….

  2. We can always use help at Corner Back. Kevon Seymour got worked by Cal. Im sure UCLA and ND will go after him. So anything that Josh can offer at that position will be a plus.

    • Kevon Seymour and Chris Hawkins are TERRIBLE………Seymour has had moments of success, but Hawkins is the King of holding penalties…..

  3. Notice that this blog has become cleaner in terms of racist xenophobic comments over the past months?

  4. It’s pretty simple, you play the four best guys in the backfield in the positions they play best at, if that includes Shaw great. We now have more depth. May free up the blitz by Cravens and Pullard.

  5. Hey, Scottie…..oh, fashion wizard…..I’m surprised that you haven’t mentioned the fact that the both teams will be wearing their home jerseys this weekend…..a great tradition, in my opinion…..

  6. Shaw n adore at corner bowman n mcquay at safety n sua shadowing hundley ! A la Philadelphia eagles did cam newton. What yah think!?

    • I like the idea of Sua shadowing Hundley…..Protect the edges and stay in their lanes…….easier said than done…..UCLA’s OL is gelling at the right time…our running game has taken a nose dive since Chad Wheeler got hurt

  7. Is he even in game shape? This is an embarrassment to the program. We don’t need this additional distraction.
