  1. Okay….. so who will be going to the game on Saturday?…..including the trolls…..I’ll be there in Section 24…..

        • Actually, it’s my 88 year old father. We only have a year or two left going to games. He is an old, Bruin baseballer. Almost went to SC and now he gets totally riled up about beating the Trojans. He is a classic!

I am there to call HIM down!

          • Enjoy the game with your father!…. and please keep him under control, would you?….Hahaha!

          • We used to take my Uncle who is also 88 now and a rabid Trojan. Unfortunately, he is now in an Alzheimer’s home. We bought him a TV for his own room so he can watch the Trojans. We would go to the Coliseum with him for the game and he would go to the Rose Bowl with us. I am going to miss that part of things.

          • Yeah, that’s a pretty rough thing to witness..it’s difficult seeing someone that you love dearly deal with dementia…My old man used to have a great memory and he could recall the smallest details of things that happened many years ago…that kind of recall is useful both personally and professionally.. but now, he is clearly not clicking on all cylinders….it’s painful to watch as it becomes more and more frequent….enjoy today…..we never know what tomorrow brings…

          • It is difficult, but he is in great spirits. He is a very positive guy. He was a local youth coach that coached kids that ended up in the NBA, MLB and the NFL. Bruins and Trojans.

One of my favorite memories was riding with him up to the Stanford-SC game in Palo Alto as a kid. Watched the game, turned back around and while driving home listened to UCLA-Oregon on the radio from the Coliseum. Bruins up 40-20 as I nod off to sleep only to wake up as Dan Fouts throws a winning TD pass to Bobby Moore (Ahmad Rashad) to beat the Bruins.

Many fond memories with him at games for both teams. He would root for the Bruins and I would root for the Trojans….except for that one day every year!

          • Those are great memories, PU. My dad, who was a swimmer at UCLA, went with us to the games since we first purchased our season tix in ’88. But he used to take me to the Coli as a kid. He was a WWII vet (Navy, Pacific Theater), tried out for Wooden’s first team (turned an ankle, so decided to swim instead). He passed away last year at 88 still rooting loudly for the Bruins.

      • I’m going to be meeting with SaferinWestwood at the game…..he will be sitting in Section 23 Row 19…..

    • Bucket, Violet, ThaiMex, UCLA Dynasty, Grave Soul, Free Shabazz, Yoda, Betomas, Cal Girl and others will be there

      In the same section

    • Who is “us” Ugly Bucket? You a member of the team?

And just because you once played touch football with your sister’s friends does not qualify you s some kind of football expert.

Finally, who cares what anybody thinks or says on the teams?– You think that will tilt the game (on the field) in any squad’s favor?

      • careful, bucket has administrator privileges on Disques. I believe the blog host reads every letter of every word of every post on this blog. I believe the moderator allows trolls to post messages containing profanity and deletes posts that are too critical of the host. it’s “love to dish it out, but can’t take it.” If a hot chick winks at you Saturday, give her a smile. I’m a huge fan of yours.

  3. As you may have read elsewhere, Bleauz, I have to go to a good friend’s wedding. So, my season ticket Sec 21, Row 18, seat 17 will be occupied by my sister. The things we do for friends… I will be at a winery in Temecula avoiding anyone who remotely resembles a sports fan, and will watch around midnight.

      • Small world! What seat number are you? We are right in the middle, seats 17-18, just before the seats go to 118, 117 etc the other way toward 22.

  4. I will be buying a ticket at the box office for 10 dollrs. Don’t know what section. My only question is– Is it Brent or Brant?
