Perplexing, Wolfie, but we know you’re a Trogan deep down so we understand.
You and ‘FormerCoach’ need to get your act together. Which is it? Door #1 or door #2?
Inquiring minds don’t GAS.
You been smoking the reefer this morning? This is a joke, right? We’re trying to drive discussion to drive clicks, no? Can’t be any seriousness here…
You’re an AP voter? How embarrassing. Talk about not having integrity. When USC was winning you never saw a Bruin beat writer or analyst disrespect the sport like you are doing just because you despise the school across town.
Scott’s UCLA vote is more his commentary on the state of SUCC’s FB program than the result of UCLA’s convincing victory.
Exhibit 37 proving that you know absolutely nothing about sports, football, or journalism.
Hat’s off, Arturo, for the honest commentary. Wolf’s ballots are both funny and sad at the same time. UCLA dismantled ASU 62-27 and Wolfy has the Sundevils ranked 3 spots higher. Wow.
Or he knows f ucla can’t beat Stanford?
Even USC beat Stanford this year, so the Bruins have a chance. 😉
Scott, scott, scott.
Koko the sign-language monkey could turn in a more rational ballot.
Whoa, EB cranks edgy sarcasm.
Feeling a bit feisty today, Owns…
Apparently the moderator thinks so or I’ve irritated the SUCCdumb flag it crowd. But EB you’ve evaded my question. I was not aware cheeky sarcasm was in your repertoire.
No, I was saying I was feeling feisty, thus the comment about Koko. I can do sarcasm when inspired–and Wolf’s mystifying AP poll provided just such inspiration. Nice prediction by the way (I think you had the Bruins 34-17?).
34 – 24. Once again UCLA was the better FB team. There’s a classic boxing axiom: a good big man will always beat a good small man.
Moro did the right thing by remembering we play Stanford Friday night.
That’s right. No screaming in the tunnel, etc. just directly back to business. (My Dad, who died a year ago, was a huge boxing fan and used to use that quote.)
It’s right on the money.
I am afraid your bias is showing again. Do you really think 13 teams deserve more recognition? ESPN states UCLA has the toughest schedule, bar none, in the the nation. Bill Plaschke wrote today in regards to the four team national playoff, “It’s tough to imagine four college football teams who are currently playing better.” Shame on you Scott. You should be fair.
Did you forget the Oregon debacle? You could have lost by 100 if the Ducks didn’t ease up.
Substitute UCLA for Oregon, we for “You”, and Bruins for Ducks, and you are spot on.
Wolf – UCLA dismantles ASU, yet you rank them ahead of UCLA? Furthermore, you believe that Auburn is better than anyone in the PAC-12 except Oregon, yet you have ASU ahead of Auburn? Shame Shame Shame Wolf. Embarrassment to your profession.
This poll won’t matter anymore until Sark finds a new employer.
Mr. Wolfe – I have a question. If ASU beats Arizona and UCLA beats Stanford next week, you are still inclined to rank ASU ahead of UCLA? I’m trying to see how your mind works. I know you have the duty to be objective and put the UCLA hate in your backpocket, but you have to sensibly explain the reasoning. Are UCLA’s losses to Utah and Oregon worst losses that ASU’s losses to UCLA and Oregon State? Does UCLA superior SOS somehow work against them? Even though UCLA resoundingly tapped-out ASU in Tempe, did your eyes tell you something else?
You are being heavily criticized for evaluation here? By appearances, you rank UCLA lower than any other writer in the voting poll – and you’re a west coast guy who is supposed to know the teams here better. Are you subliminally trying to convince your writing brethren that they themselves are “over-rating” UCLA?
Convince us you’re not trolling UCLA again as you’ve done for years.
UCLA #14? Gimme a break, Wolf.
