Cody Kessler On UCLA Game

What does USC QB Cody Kessler need to improve this week after the UCLA debacle?

“Everything,” he said. “I need to play better. Some of the sacks I was holding (the ball) a little longer to make things happen because we were down and my competitive spirit took over.”

  1. If Cody means that he was holding on to the ball for an extra second waiting for something to open up long, he should get plenty of opportunities this Saturday.

  2. If he had some blocking, he would have played better. Hopefully, he’ll get it Saturday.

  3. sUCLA was able put pressure on CK with just four down linemen. If it happens again on Saturday, Nathan Guertler needs to play some TE like he did against Cal to help out with the pass blocking. Also, Sark has to get more creative with his play calling and not zone in on Agholor. Changing the snapp count and maybe letting big Aundrey Walker play some might help out too.

  4. Kessler should shred the ND defense…it is non-existent. If Sark some how does not have them ready against ND…he should resign!

  5. Wow, K’s spin on his sacks is good. Maybe he should skip a dubious NFL career for the security of Public Relations employment.

  6. The Three biggest lies….
    All of us are jealous
    Your 55 are better
Kessler leaves early for the nfl

  7. Kessler is just protecting his teammates. I had a good view sitting on the 50 yard line, and the SUCLAs had our wideouts covered like a blanket. I never saw anything quite like it. Poor Kessler had no one to throw to on the field.

    • You are correct. For the most part Kessler had enough time to locate a receiver, but they just weren’t open. Even when he scrambled out of the pocket, they still weren’t open.

  8. Kessler is trying to cover Sark’s butt. Sark did not try to help Kessler the whole 2nd half in his playcalling! If you watched last week’s game, you would easily see Sark is just another Kiffin with a Denny’s menu in his hand and oblivious to the rest of the game.

  9. The thing that concerns me about this game, is that Brian Kelly can out coach Steve Sarkisian with his eyes closed.
