Ed Orgeron, Tee Martin Mentioned For UNLV Job

Former USC assistant coach Ed Orgeron and current assistant Tee Martin are being mentioned as candidates for the UNLV job. Would Orgeron consider that job big enough for him? Martin would certainly take the job. There’s been rumors all season he will leave USC anyways.

  1. Hey a feather in Sark’s cap if assistants are being wooed to move on – look for a number jumping ship over at ucla when:

    1. No Hundley no wins – plus recruits fail to arrive – something about a bowl game hmmmm
    2. The minimum money needed to begin building that sterile overhang doesn’t pan out
    3. Mora begins publicly ripping his assistants as the reality for all of how inept they were last Friday afternoon blooms like a castor bean plant through all of 2015….

    • Dont worry the have Neuheisel for 2015. Remember Hundley accomplished all he wanted to do at UCLA.

      • “….all he wanted to do?” No more like all he could to do…he’s ucla’s ‘Jake Locker’ – he’ll be a high draft pick and then – nothin’

      • Don’t worry Clown College won’t have any excuses in 2015, sanctions are over.. .

        • Actually not true, depending on how many people leave early will probably only be able to get up to low 70’s on roster size. It will take us another year at least to get to an 85 man roster. It will have less effect next year but not over.

          • What’s not true, not having excuses or not having the available 25 scholarships the rah rahs were crying about every time Clown College got beat??

            Eeestupid “Clown College” – ESPN

          • Will still be effected in 2015 so will use that as a reason for some problems in field because it will be true. So your opinion is taking scholarships has no effect on a program? The fact is we got reamed by NCAA and you guys benefited from it but in true Bruin fashion your best was a PAC 12 south title.

          • I love the attitude, Tim. I mean, you know Pete was lightning in a bottle, yet you somehow think you’ll be right back there soon. Under Sark? LOL.

          • Pete was 2 time fired NFL coach and was 6-6 in his first year that ended with a loss in Las Vegas bowl. Guess that equals lightning in a bottle. Most people wanted him run out of town ASAP. Lets see what happens with Sark in his second year before making any judgements.

          • Sorry but unlike Bruins we expect our coaches to win something more than PAC 12 south before giving away the farm. Lets see if Mora can get one signature win as underdog after 3 years of trying. My guess is Bruins will be lucky to see 7 wins next year.

          • That’s what you did woodie the peckerhead – or was it 10 years? then he found Sam and all was good times

          • There’s nothing so terrible as the stench emulating from a two bit evanjellolical, sanctimonious Christian .

          • SC was at 73 to start this year. Am I to expect 25 players will be leaving after the bowl game then?

        • And bRUINS excuse for for getting their @ss’s handed to them, at Home, by $tanford, a 6-5 team who couldn’t score if they wanted too againt North Eastern Idaho A&M ?

And… now with “no” Hμndley circa 2015 ?

          Neuheisel, at Quarterback ??

          WHAT A JOKE !

Doesn’t Cal Poly Pomona have a Quarterback to lend You ???

          PATHETIC !

Watch out Colorado, there’s a new “Last” Place team in town…

      • Yes..Timmy. He already earned his degree and graduated. Something UCLA players often do. Most people either go on and get jobs after graduation or go to graduate school. In Hundley’s case, it’s probably the NFL. I am not sure how well he will do in the NFL. He doesn’t get to go up against the SC defensive coordinator and he has struggled with good defensive teams like Stanford.

        • I assume Hundley’s unfortunate remark was just one of those things said out loud that would have been revised had he been writing instead of talking.

          • I am not so sure. I like Hundley, but like a lot of today’s players, they have been told how great they are for much of their lives. He will have a HUGE adjustment at the next level. I have always thought that Hundley is a bit overrated. Don’t get me wrong, he helped lift the program out of the gutter, but he isn’t as good as Beban, Aikman or McNown IMO. A lot of QB stats are inflated these days by bubble screens and swing passes with a lot of yardage after the catch.

          • Hundley QUIT against Stanford. Plain and simple. Beban wouldn’t have come out. Neither would Ricky.

  2. After reading the comments,I had to go back and reread the topic…coach O and coach Tee thinking about unlv…it is a big jump from receivers coach to head coach, but he is a good recruiter;that means he needs surround himself with very capable people as I am sure he knows, still it seems an unusual move to me; coach O he has a lot more experience ,I don’t see him at unlv, but I have had cataract surgery in one eye and the other is slowly making a new one…I see coach O coming back to TROY,but remember’ people do the funniest things’,and my vision is suspect.

  3. Ed Orgeron said he would need a commitment to the football program from the University, and UNLV has never done that, which is why they are who they are. Orgeron made a million dollars a years as an assistant at USC. Las Vegas paid Bobby Hauk $350,000 a year to be their head coach, so you do the math.

  4. Orgeron should take the job, so he can get his second chance at beating UCLA, whom they UNLV play in the second week of the season.

  5. Scott Diva Wolf – No one believes you.. Other media sources say you are a fraud and make up stories..
