ESPN draft guru Mel Kiper has USC’s Leonard Williams No. 2 on his Big Board but he made some news this morning when he said there is no franchise quarterback in the draft despite having Marcus Mariota as his No. 1 player.
“I don’t think there is a franchise quarterback, Marcus Mariota, I don’t put in that category,” Kiper said. “I thought it would be Jameis Winston . . . but I would not say he’s a franchise quarterback going in.”
I would agree with the Kipster.
No Franchise QB’s but the top NFL Prospect is Sean Mannion!
Agreed, but he should be available deep into the first round, maybe even high in the second round.
Two RB’s in the top 10, interesting!
Sounds contradicting to me. I normally agree with the guru, but if your top player in the draft is a QB, then he must be a franchise QB. Or he won’t be the first overall pick. Otherwise you’re saying that it’s a significantly down draft.
Pac 12 on top followed by a Kiffin Coached Receiver….wonder what Les Miles thinks of that
