Yes I Voted For Marcus Mariota

Now that the Heisman Trophy was awarded, I am free to reveal that I voted for Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota. But only 10 voters of nearly 1,000 did not vote Mariota first on their ballots.

I just wonder if Mariota went out tonight in Manhattan. I still have fresh memories of being part of a small group that went out the night Matt Leinart won. Among those who went were Leinart, Reggie Bush, Alex Smith and Adrian Peterson. Back then going to the Heisman felt like a USC tradition.

    • Great point, history shows that when the wolfman is in the inner circle, trOXans at least CHALLENGED for Crystal Balls, but since HH got SCARED of El Lobo Macho, the sails went flop!!!

      I can just see the wolfman throwing them back in Manhattan with the young bucks all looking up to him to show them sround!! that’s the WOLFMAN’s kind of town!!

      • Clearly Scottie alienated himself from USC athletics. He had a great opportunity to start fresh when Sark and a new coaching staff came in, but unfortunately he didn’t. The onus is on Scottie to bury the hatchet and get back to journalism – hopefully he’s successful.

  2. Were you “part of the group” or just stalking them all night looking for some dirt? It will become a USC tradition again. Oregon finally got their one Heisman, maybe they will get a NC as well.

    • We will always have Matt Leinart’s 4th and long pass to save the Notre Dame game. Who cares what happens after?
