USC v. UCLA

USC’s 17 commitments are ranked the No. 11 recruiting class in the nation by Rivals.com following the commitment of tight end Tyler Petite. And UCLA, which also has 17 commitments, is ranked No. 13.

  1. Rivals ranking is a combination number of commits and how many stars. This is a fluid process with commits and decommits. SC is looking good so far. We should be in the top 5 come signing day.

    • Very true about fluidity and NSD. Top 5? We’ll see.

Still, the gap in 2/2005 was a lot wider than it will be in 2/2015.

More disturbing, I and a number of others would have doubts about switching rosters with UCLA, but not about switching coaching staffs. I don’t recall any time EVER when I would have written that.

  2. Funny no mention of Scout’s ratings! UCLA at 7, SC at 12, and UCLA has THE highest *average in the country. UCLA – WOTT!

  3. I am sure the little boys will come on and tell us how much better the sucla recruits are and how many NC’s the will win with them.
Looks good for both schools but everything changes on signing day.

    • Not that Socal can say any better! It is hard to win a NC when you can’t win more than 8 games with a weak schedule!

  4. Eric Kendricks 3*(LB) won the Lott trophy award, its named
    after a former TrOJan right? #Back2Back #BOOM #UCLALOTTTrophyAward

    4th and 2 #Fail “Why.. .why” – The Sark

    • Outstanding news: EK wins the 2014 Lott award and M. Sanchez leads the Eagles to another loss. Somethings never change: UCLA wins, SUCC loses.

      • Hey SUCLA Brownie, whichever half-drunken recruits you may get you’ll always be also-rans, so accept your historical limitations, Okeedokee???

  5. I saw Sark with a 40 year old Heisman trying to lure recruits. Mora’s taking back-to-back Lott awards with him and he can actually say he coached Barr and EK! LBU is at UCLA!
