What About Jim Harbaugh?

USC offensive line coach Tim Drevno was asked about the possibility of San Francisco 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh leaving for Michigan. Drevno worked for Harbaugh at the University of San Diego, Stanford and the 49ers.

“You won’t find a better coach than Jim Harbaugh,” he said. “I learned a lot from him.”

  1. What about Jim Harbaugh, Scott? If only there was a game this weekend you could be reporting about instead of cheapening Carroll’s accomplishments or posting about Harbaugh. Oh, wait…

  2. How long do you think Scotty would last around Harbaugh? Just one of his snarky questions would get the stare and Scotty would instantly wet himself.

    • Something tells me Harbaugh would smash Frank Dux’s record from Bloodsport for fastest knockout

    • I’m no big fan of Wolf but no I’d say you’re the one who would ‘wet himself’ i.e. you ever interviewed any one in sports?

You remind me of the generational fools who worshiped Wooden “…anything you want my lord and master it is truly a privilege to serve you….I shall draw your bath…I shall air out your commode…I shall be your loyal, in livery, batman….I shall defend you against all calumnies imagined all (even real) I am a westside limousine liberal – I am u clowns lost again

  3. Coach Jim Harbaugh would cause much grief for USC and dismantle USC’s football team on a regular basis. I would conceive that USC is thankful that if he were to return to NCAA football, that it would be in the Big 10 conference.

    • Then again how’s that worked against SEA and Jim’s nemesis?…..Oh for the days long past…woodrow directing all flak towards JD Morgan and the flunkie Times and Hearl-Examiner….Roy Firestone ensuring nothing ‘untoward’ is ever alleged towards ‘woodrow’….TJ Simers worshipping woodrow as he did skull-dawg chevrolet…..woodrow….”nothing to see here….go blast Tarkanian…I am pure….just leave me alone…in fact go blame Bartow…yeah that’s right blame Bartow for upsetting Sam Gilbert…I always got along with Sam…I ran for the hills when he stared at me with his malevolent eyes… I am woodrow…and I am safe…safe….

      • Ohhh someone is responding….must protect the ‘jimminy cricket’ aka woodie..;let’s await the flunkie reply shall we?

        • There – the spear carrier for ‘woodrow’ replied….too young to remember the ‘woodrow’…but always willing to believe – believe just as the same do for ‘Jack our Jack…if only…why?…..’

All is well as the minions and tools continue to belong to the cult of woodrow the peckerhead …. “I have a clear conscience”'”

          • Otis doesn’t have a drinking problem, Otis’ is one well adjusted individual that occasionally can’t remember why he’s waking up in rolled in a dirty, back alley in Fresno.

          • So what is your problem? Spouting nonsensical, boring, repetitive BS daily on this site? You really need to try and gather yourself and try to regain some normalcy in what must be a miserable life.

      • Your foolish effort to contest my logic has gotten you nowhere. You are not worthy of my time.

        Bill

      • straight homemade potato peel ethyl alcohol + and crumpet rage. JW has a historic legacy, Otis has a working Volka still.

    • Well, I don’t think Sarkisian matches up well, in any event.

CFB is a lot about recruiting, and there, UM is a significant upgrade from Stanford. Still, it’s better to coach in the South, where weather and local preferences lead to disproportionate concentrations of better HS football players.

I agree that Harbaugh would do very well at UM, but not as well as he’d do at Texas, or especially FL.

USC has extra potential for a non-South school, because of the weather, the L.A. glamor, the CFB tradition, the good university ranking, etc. A great marketer like PC exploited that masterfully. But of course, despite the perception of some, he can coach as well.

I think Sark’s a mass man, and no more than that. Hope I’m wrong.

      Hop

  4. Who give a rat’s *ss about Harbaugh? The real story is Narduzzi going to Pitt to get some HC experience, so when Sark gets canned in 2 years, we can hire Narduzzi as he’ll be coming from an entry level job to a top tier job. Fight On!

  5. Just a guess, but I think you meant to write a different headline, Scott. Anyway, better luck next time.

  6. I wonder if Carroll still greets Harbaugh after another arse-whipping with “What’s your deal?”

    — Didn’t think so.

P.S. And who would want to play for Hard-boiled?

    • Except the original greeting was in defeat, not gloating. It was amazing how Harbaugh could beat SC regularly with a tenth of the quality of players. Seems he has lost that magic.
