Junior Seau In NFL Hall Of Fame
USC Basketball Stats Of Day
When Katin Reinhardt scored 35 points and Nikola Jovanovic 30 against Colorado, they became the first duo in USC history to score 30-or-more points in the same game. Reinhardt’s 35 were the most since O.J. Mayo scored 37 against Arizona State in 2008.
Junior Seau Should Make NFL Hall Of Fame Today
USC Picture Of The Day
UCLA coach Billy Barnes and USC coach Don Clark shake hands after the 1958 Crosstown Rivalry, which ended in a 15-15 tie. Note the lack of a mob scene on the field after the game. No media horde. No big display of security. Just a few photographers. And of course, note the big white clock that was atop the Coliseum scoreboard. Photo courtesy USC digital library.
USC Morning Buzz: Could Ed Orgeron Ever Return?
Let’s take a moment to consider USC’s history of hiring head coaches.
Don Clark (1957) was a USC assistant. John McKay (1960) was a USC assistant . John Robinson (1976) was a former USC assistant. Ted Tollner (1983) was a USC assistant. Larry Smith (1987) was a fellow Pac-10 coach at Arizona. Robinson (1994) again. Paul Hackett (1998) a former USC assistant. Pete Carroll (2001) an out of work former NFL coach. Lane Kiffin (2010) a former USC assistant. Steve Sarkisian (2014) a former USC assistant.
So that seems to suggest Ed Orgeron could be a strong candidate the next time USC hires a coach. But would he be considered if he were a position coach at LSU? Does he need to be a head coach somewhere else first? Will he be a hired somewhere else? There didn’t seem to be much buzz for him getting offered a head-coaching job other than some talk about Kansas being interested.

Notable Swim Meet
No. 3 Cal defeated the No. 14-ranked USC women’s swim team today, 197.5-102.5. But the meet was notable because the Pac-12 Network telecast featured the return of analyst and former Olympian, Amy Van Dyken, since she was involved in a life-threatening ATV accident in June.
Here’s the feature that opened the telecast of today’s meet on Van Dyken.
The Curious Case Of Jim Mora’s Twitter Account
UCLA coach Jim Mora deleted his twitter account after the Alamo Bowl. Then he set up a private account. Then he supposedly started his account again, tweeted a photo of a recruit and deleted, then claimed it was hacked, then deleted it again. Confused?
Here’s a detailed explanation.
