  1. I am happy for the University of South Carolina for selling this t-shirt. That is great news to Juan Carlos.

Congratulations to the University of South Carolina for this t-shirt. Well done!

  2. Every where around the country USC is University of South Carolina and Southern Cal is University of Southern California.

    • Interesting fact dumb dumb! Is that why ESPN and SI use USC Trojans and South Carolina Gamecocks?

    • Here you go again, trying to rewrite history! Why don’t you try looking it up on Wikipedia before you make an a$$inine statement…

    • I travel for business nationwide and when I have my USC gear on even in Columbia , sc I ve never been called a gamecock …. Always a Trojan ! And in Southern Carolina ….they give me crap, and they still admit that we’re the real USC !

        • Yes the SCHOOL was established first but they didn’t adopt the name (University of South Carolina) and become a university until 1906. They moved to their present location in 1944. For Ted: Check Carolina’s own football media-guide. They refer to themselves as The University of South Carolina, Carolina, and The Gamecocks. In UCLA’s media-guide the University of Southern California is referred to as USC.

  3. T.V. commentators never use the term “Southern Cal.” So if you hear it you know it is coming from some SUCLA goon who hates SC’s 11 football national championships.

South Carolina is not referred to as “USC” very often, it is ‘South Carolina.’

And South Carolina is never referred to as “SC” or with the interlocking “S” and “C” because that is an SC trademark.

    • 8.5 Jersey. Exactly 1/2 library card non-competitive NC in the 21 Century.

  4. Well that shirt is coming down !!! Only school recognized by the NCAA is university of Southern California …. Besides we took them to court and won of the the name in 2010 , unless it’s been over turned !!!

  5. I think it would look more at home if it didn’t have “Carolina Gamecocks” written on it. But it is really funny. It would be like if Michigan State and Mississippi St both had shirts with MSU on it. Could you imagine if two schools in the same conference had the same fight song? Great stuff Scott!
