I mentioned last week that USC linebacker Uchenna Nwosu was sent home from San Diego before the Holiday Bowl for a “violation of team rules,” which sources said was a fight with another teammate. Now I hear long-snapper Peter McBride never made it to the game either because he missed a practice and was not allowed to make the trip.
I’m almost surpised USC won the game now with its usual depth issues compounded even more by two scholarship players not attending the game.

Scott, your right on point my Man…lol and many of these bloggers that troll your page every single day when they really don’t have to, need to understand the hypocrisy that your pointing out. Every thing you pointed out with Lame Kiffin over the years happened to be true, and he was eventually fired. Steve Sarkisian will eventually be fired also, and it was a waste of time for Pat Haden to even hire him, because now the the true Trojan fans have to wait another 4 to 5 years for another National Championship. The good thing about al of this, is that Sarkisian is filling the roster with many blue chip players, for the next SC coach…Thanks Stevie !!!

The problem with many Athletic directors, is they look for the wrong things when hiring a football coach. They put an emphasis on X’s and O’s, when they should be looking for Leadership and motivational skills. The X’s and O’s should come in the form of coordinators, which is something that Lane Kiffin and Steve Sarkisian don’t understand. Kiffin had Zero leadership skills, and could never motivate his team. So Pat Haden decides to hire Kiffin’s CLONE, just because he was under Pete Carroll’s umbrella . Sakisian doesn’t even have the presence of a coach, with leadership skills, and his Washington teams we very average at best .
Some of what you say makes sense. However, you are not taking into account the fact that people grow and mature. Maybe you are a finished product, most people aren’t. Kiffen and Sarkisian seem to be able to relate to this generation – don’t underestimate that fact either. Btw have you seen how sanctions left football powers Bama and the U in shambles – I d say SC did pretty well.
I understand all of that, but Sarkisian lacks leadership skills, that’s something that you either have, or you don’t.

I would have preferred Urban Meyer, Nick Saban, Pete Carroll, and Jim Harbaugh (in that order). But those guys aren’t available or realistic in December 2013 when Sark was hired.
Aren’t you contradicting yourself by saying that SC fans will have to wait 4 to 5 years yet Sarkisian is filling the roster with blue chip players? Shouldn’t a coach be able to make a run ala Pete Carroll with Hacket’s recruits?
