Don’t Expect To See Mike Garrett Soon

We hear several friends of former athletic director Mike Garrett have asked him to attend events at USC with a similar response from the former AD: He will never set foot on the USC campus again.

  1. Nice to hear that his ego is as inflated as ever…..what a shame…. oh, well…his loss…..keep holding on to that animosity, Garrett…..nobody cares…..

    • What happened to Torgan for life??? Nothing wrong with ARROGANT Garrett when he was A.D., or played ball over in South Central. Now you kick him to the curb…What about all that HERITAGE?
Nothing but a whole lotta CLOWNS…

  2. Stonewall keeps on Stonewalling; oh well, Clownster’s, maybe if you fax him a pix of his Trophy he’ll change his mind.

  3. Sorry MG feels that way. He has got to know there are a legend of fans-supporters-alumni who care about him and are grateful for the desire and passion he had as AD. He wasn’t always successful… but you knew and there should be no dispute, he wanted to win badly!. Only wish Haden had MG’s desire.

      • The ish-kind that wins national championships in football or is that too complicated for you to choke on?

        • all those years cheating the last decade and what do you have to show for it? Zero BCStiles, that’s pathetic, after selling your soul to the devil and having nothing to show for it. there’s only one true national champion in college football history, and those are the Ohio State Buckeyes. so enough with your foolishness.

    • This is hilarious to read. I can most definitely assure you that I know not one Bruin that wishes that they were a condom, like you guys. Conversely, I’ve met several trojies that applied to UCLA and were not accepted, so they settled for the school not known for top academics. The most honest ones of that lot manned up and admitted that they always wished they were Bruins!

    • No one had more passion for SC. Remember when he stormed the locker room at halftime of the 1997 SC-UCLA game and cussed the team out for their lackluster perfromance? He demanded excellence!

    • I just can not truly believe anything Wolf says.. HE looks for drama and i could see him over hearing this at an alumni bar, and then posting it here..

  4. I wasn’t planning it but thanks for the info. Always on top of things, Scottie!

  5. I find it extremely queeer that Southern Cal’s three most illustrious players of all time WILL not or CANNOT step foot on the campus!!!

I mean, what up with THAT???

it would be like Kareem, Walton and Terry Donahue all being BANNED from UCLA!!!

    #DeflatingTrOXanFightSong (sound bite)

    • Too bad that Darryl Henley and Freddie Mitchell won’t be visiting UCLA’s campus anytime soon. Oh wait, that was for a different reason..

        • So now you realize that both universities have idiots in prison and it’s not just a USC thing. As Elvis would say, Thank you…..thank you very much…….

          • of course every university has HAD idiots, past tense. but the idiots just keep coming out of USC year in and year out. how many USC players were arrested the past decade, stemming from assault and battery, rape, arned robbery, possession of firearms, possession of drugs with intent to sell, DUI, arson, domestic violence, petty theft, the list just goes on and on. You mentioned two ucla players, one of them played in the 80s, the other one played in the 90s nice try though, Johnny.

          • No, our turds get sent to the sh***r, you elevate your turds to hero status…that, my friend, is the difference between Westwood and South Central.

          • Why here comes the holier than thou attitude. Who was given hero status? Stupid OJ who won the Heisman 20+ years before he became a murderer? Sure thing there. Keep on trolling and keep on truckin.

          • No Josh shaw, then all the players arrested in the past and each one allowed to stay on the team?

          • You know, we should start worrying about your mental health – you are a little too focused on the USC program for not being a fan.

          • Chu?? I ain’t no Chinese and I don’t speak Mandarin…only Jive and you are Sucka #1 who we should pay no nevermind!!

          • You have guys running away from car accidents that invovled a girl, you have people getting killed for being drunk, you have people stealing stero equipment at their frat houses, you have people being kidnapped out of their dorm never to be seen again, you have people stealing bones at 8 Crap U. The list is long. Don’t forget Tokyo Rose,Commie Angela Davis, and the greatest cheater of all time, called JOHNNY CHEETIN’ WOODEN. His motto was, “If you aint cheetin’ u aint tryin.” 8 Crap U just keeps giving.

          • Just for the record eight ball, Wooden taught High School English in addition to coaching Basketball.

      • Wan Lopez has completely dropped the Central American faux accent for SUCCdescent’s peck, peck peck, white bread, whinny Clown shtick.

SUCCdescent you can’t disguise your stupendously tiny intellect. Peck, peck, peck.

        What is Innuendo, Woodpecker.

  6. well, that’s gotta suck for all these SUCsters that were hoping he would replace Haden, and dig up more natties from the ’30s and ’20s when the South Central Gazette had their own national championship poll.
OUCH!!!! even I have to laugh at my post. LMAO

  7. I can appreciate his disdain, but a person ,not THE USC I used to know and he used to know has acted in ways I find reprehensible;including firing a head coach at 3 am at an airport, and leaving him there…lawyers do that kind of stuff, not athletic coaches or real AD’s…but real ones… they do fight to right wrongs by institutions like the ncaa and its minions…Mike come back

    • I find it reprehensible that JRob was fired via a message left on his answer machine. I also find it reprehensible that Napoleon hired a less than clean Bibby & Miller for our basketball program. One thing for sure…he had no clue when to close his mouth. He was embarrassing to the University countless times. On the other end of the spectrum, PH is way too much the politician.
You want someone to come back? How ’bout Shane?
As a football player for SC however…he was great! Best we keep it at that.

      • WELL,that is what makes the world go round, all the hot air differences…btw…wrongs are not fixed by more wrongs and shane is one of my favorites, how bright of you to pick upon that…Mike ,come home.

  8. Say what you want about Mike Garrett, but he has a bigger set then Pat Haden, that’s for sure. Garrett got a bit to cocky, but what USC alum isn’t, and he probably should have listen to some of his associate Athletic director’s a little more then he did. Because I know a couple of them wanted him to hire Reggie Theus over Kevin O’Neill, but he didn’t, and it backfired in his face.
