Oregon State 59, USC 55

A decent showing by the Trojans because Oregon State is 12-0 at home and 14-5 overall under first-year coach Wayne Tinkle. Katin Reinhardt scored 17 points and shot better (6-13) while Nikola Jovanovic had 13 points and six rebounds for the Trojans (9-10, 1-6).

  1. Some things you can just COUNT ON…Death , Taxes and SoSo Cal basketball being 1-6 at the midway point of The Basketball season! Makes you wish you could play Cal State L.A. all the time, doesn’t it?
Fret not….The kids choice awards are just around the corner.
    The Tradition Continues…..Fite Un!

    • we need another point guard and we have no sign of bringing one in (jordan is a gunner -who cannot shoot very well- our ball handling, passing , and shooting is awful–not to mention game management and horrible defense – i appreciate the fact that enfield was an all a student -but he simply cannot coach -we are not improving –at all– next to impossible to be a usc basketball fan

beyond disappointing – oregon state and washington state have improved with new coaches– if enfield wants to run and gun -great – but you need guys that can make an outside shot with better accuracy than 30 percent

      • As the announcers noted, Oregon State was picked last in the Pac 12 preseason polls and was not expected to win a single Pac 12 game. A great coach can win with mediocre players and a mediocre coach blames the players for not winning. Pat Haden failed on this coaching selection and Enfield must go.

  2. Some of my most exciting moments with SC basketball were with Miner in the early 90s and then “the little men” bunch (my term) who could hustle and were shooters, and then the 2000s with Clancy and his gang.

You would think SC could bring back that excitement, but as with SUCLA football’s problem, the “brand” name is just not there.
