Tristan Payton To Central Florida

Wide receiver Tristan Payton, who decomitted from USC on Friday, committed to Central Florida today. So how does someone go from USC to Central Florida? And do the recruiting services suddenly start wondering about making him a four-star recruit?

  1. Mean while back on the ranch(campus) it is being reported that Clayton Johnson a fine OL commit in a show of being a true team player is going to Blue Shirt, which will give another open spot leaving us now with 5 open for 2015.brilliant on staffs plan and a mature sign of sportsmanship on Clayton who will be with team in August and count as a 2016 sch.Fine piece of planning. So Green,Houston, Gustin, Marshall and ????.
By the way Payton is from Florida, grades were a question, he’s a fine talent ,will get a lot of playing time an will get a good NFL look in future.
Back on the ranch…. Brilliant recruiting going on.

    • Recruiting and first deal in a hand of poker are pretty much similar.

But it’s how a Coach or Poker player plays said hand is what counts.

From what I’ve seen SUCCster’s, Dough Boy is a lousy Poker player and needs to hold Haden’s hand when sweating heavily under pressure. Toots on Sark.

      • Read between the lines on that comment and you sense some anxiety rooted in this fact. For the last three years, sure, UCLA picked up 2 or 3 players each year who likely would have gone to USC had the scholarship reductions not been in place. Those same players will now get to go to their first choice choice school, which is, essentially, a 6-student-athlete turnaround. It’s a little frightening in Westwood. But sure, if Sark and crew don’t coach ’em up, it’s all for naught.

        • If anyone can take these guys to a seven win season, it is Sark!!

          Total Success On!

          • 7? We haven’t touched 7 since the Petros years….. Wishful thinking power blue.

      • You are so good at throwing insults out to USC, but do you know ANYTHING about football or sports in general?

        • He knows little save when his tax payer funded disability check is in his checking account –

          • I bet he reloads this blog over and over and pinpoints the new posts, then dives in with his nonsense (could it be a her?) I bet this is something which give IT purpose in a life in grannie’s basement.

          • Gosh, Otis is mad Alcoholics don’t qualify for disability. Otis, stick your head in a john and flush sober up. Jane Fonda forever.

      • If you are using this analogy, Then the class that is brought in on signing day ,are the winnings. Then with the winnings (commitments). Its what is done with said win fall.that has little to do with recruiting itself.Much more has to do with student-athletic AND coaches for years after…..go back to your video game world.

        • UCLA couldn’t admit half Clown U’s 2015 FB recruits.

As a private 2nd tier academic college, SUCC can admit FB recruits that just barely meet the NCAA academic entrance minimums.

UCLA has academic and integrity standards not subject to Win at any cost FB tactics.

How many 2015 Clown U early entry NFL draftee’s earned a Clown U. degree?

          • When I check the US News ranking usc is 25th and ucla 22nd in the country. Seems like both schools take academics very serious.

          • You’re using revisionist history. Sports aside, the academic standards for SC have rising consdiderably to the point that in the last 5 years, admittance qualifications to get in at SC are right on par with UCLA. You cant tell me that the football/basketball players are held to anything more than basic admittance standards at either school. Maybe UGLA chooses a smarter kid when possible, but when they have a need- throw the standards out the window. It’s a myth. Get over it.

        • Good ole’ Jimmah’…….national attention on a former USC HC and an NFL job he got sacked from….if Mora has any cachet it’s dwindling as 2015 approaches – that and the GOSPLAN training facility overhanging that 80 yd. practice field.

          • UCLA – 80 yd. practice field – 38
Clown U – 100 yd practice field – 20 + excuses, excuses, excuses, excuses, etc.
            LOL!

      • Thank you Peter. You are a good man. I hope you had a great weekend and enjoyed yourself. It’s wonderful seeing this positivity take over this Scott Wolf blog website. Thanks for being a part of it.

        Your friend,

        Juan Carlos.

        • Juan. Thank you.. Yes I was en- joy .10. Miles kayaking on my beautiful lake.. Then something I know you enjoy to. Excellent Mexican food.May joy be your guide. And your heart sing of happiness..

      • I did. Thank you for inquiring. I appreciate the thoughtfulness on this Scott Wolf blog website. In fact, I am seeing it more and more. How wonderful!

  2. And for everyone bashing USC’s schedule next year for playing Arkansas State – have you seen where they are in the class rankings? Above half the teams in D1. Above Oregon State… And have you seen Central Florida in recent years? Not pathetic.

  3. George O’Leary, the HC at Central FL, has been there since 2004. It’s where the kid is from (Orlando). Good luck to him and Central FL

    • Yeah O’leary is a good coach, has had some success there. I think he’s the one that got kicked out of Notre Dame for falsifying something on his resume years back.

  4. Recruiting is a tough thing to call. It’s most likely the kid got homesick on his visit.

    • The Kid’s GPA is above 4.0 (to answer your question)
There’s way too much drama (stupidity) going on over in South Central…
      Bottoms up!

      • Just as I thought – according to your insightful reply Rosen didn’t want to face any competition then again who does at bel-air tech?

    • Rosen wants a superior education and NFL career, and not an inferior Clown U adukation and loser NFL career like the immortal matt Limesoft. Sober up Dipso.

  5. Central Florida gets players who can’t qualify academically at Miami – so you do the math Scottie. He may be a great player, but if in the end he can’t qualify then it is better for both sides to find that out now.

  6. Happens all the time…Recruit gets an offer from YESTERDAY U and all the sudden his rating goes up. IF….Josh Rosen had selected U Stupid Clowns…he’d have been the FIRST SIX Star recruit ever!
Does Ringling Bros. have a recruiting kiosk on Campus over at South Central U?
