Went to the home games that year,and compared to the ’57 season it was a winner;think it was Don Clark’s first or second year as head coach,he left after ’59 to run his uniform supply company I think,and John McKay stepped up and carried on.Those pictured I still remember well…I know people mostly don’t care to see these,but I am one who does,thanks.

      • yes he also preceded Don Clark,of course…and even filled in as basketball coach;Jess Hill coached the ’52 team that went on to win the ’53 Rose Bowl and give the PCC their first win over the Big 10 opponent ever, during the Rose Bowl agreement the two conferences had for many years.

    Not to nitpick but is saying “Left to right” the best way to identify the guys in this photo?

    • Jethro, i love the wolfman like a BROTHER, but i agree, i actually spent 10mins yesterday trying to figure out who the little guey was. he didn’t look like a tackle to me.

        I didn’t go to journalism school but I could have figured that one out.
        I suppose if you draw imaginary vertical lines through each guys nose you could line them up Left to Right, just barely.

        It must be getting increasingly difficult for you to pretend to admire Wolf’s work, especially when if you stopped you could take countless shots at the USC School of Journalism.
