Pete Carroll was asked at Super Bowl media day about his connection to USC:

“It’s deep. It has been because everything that we do now was really forged there in L.A. and I’ve never forgotten that. I give great regard to that because this philosophy, this approach, this language, everything that we do, this style of coaching people, really was brought together there and I was so fortunate that I had the chance to do it at USC.”

      • Actually I am on my way to play golf at my club. I admire owns for showing up every day, rain or shine, and sharing his absolute stupidity with all of us. I merely reconfirms what we all knew about bruin trolls and why we thank the Lord every day we went to USC, not the public school on the other side of town.

  7. My guess is that it came from an espn reporter. Espn does whatever it can to make the usc name loud and clear for recruiting purposes. USC owes a lot of credit to espn for its recruiting success throughout the years.

    • According to Scott, USC recruits USC…….and I wouldn’t give ESPN too much credit for our recruiting success…..

      • Whenever usc has a controversey espn defends them like crazy. When lane kiffin was the head coach, all they did was point out how misunderstood he was. Espn does serious recruiting for usc, especially colin cowherd.

        • Like when they labeled us “Clown College”, after the Josh Shaw incident?….please don’t have a selective memory…..NEWSFLASH: The ESPN announcers were bending over backwards during every single broadcast of an Alabama game last season showering Kiffin with compliments…How does that benefit USC?….And Colin makes so secret that he’s a USC fan, but I would hardly think that an 18 year kid would base his entire future in football, let alone in life, on what a goofy radio/TV personality thinks…..
