  1. Did it hurt your feelings, Scott, when Enfield singled you out on Valentines Day?…. Is this your feeble attempt at a payback?

    • So did the Oregon State coach. They were picked dead last in the conference. Yet they actually are competitive.

  2. He ALREADY is on the hot seat; in fact, he should be fired by the end of the season if we don’t see any improvement. A poor showing end of season and in the pac-12 tourney should seal his fate. At least he was a hot wife to go home to.

  3. Since when can you wave a magic wand and make your basketball team competitive over night ? If anything, Pat Haden should be fired for giving Kevin O’Neill an extra year to run the program into the ground.

    • Fred, good modern coaches “wave their magic wand” and actually improve their team in two seasons. It’s called “coaching”.

This isn’t football Fred, you don’t get kids around for 4 or 5 years, waiting for at least 50 of 85 of them to all gel into a good team behind an experienced quarterback, etc.

Basketball allows for a single season of play (one and done) and off to the NBA or Europe. There are 5 kids who play the lion’s share, usually no more than 3 more in meaningful time. Basketball coaches routinely cut scholarships after one year including at SC if they need to.

So if we only win two conference games a season and don’t improve at all when we have two years, and if we are the worst team in our conference… We need a new “magic wand”.

  4. The MINUTE he influenced the introduction of that totally LAME version of Tommy Trojan he should have been FIRED.

  5. LOL. USC doesn’t have a basketball team. Looks like you actually fooled some people here, though.

  6. Give Andy some credit. He had one good weekend in March Madness along with a hot swimsuit model of a wife and turned that into a fat contract! Is America a great country or what?

  7. Give Andy a break.
Other than the fact Southern Cal is in Southern Cal (great weather, great talent pool) it’s the worst job in collegiate basketball. Students don’t care, AD doesn’t care(why else would he hire Andy) and most alumni haven’t been to a game since they graduated. I think he should be given a 10 year sentence, I mean extension.

    • The students and alumni cared when Tim Floyd was coach and we were a missed layup away from defeating Michigan State.

      • I remember staying outside the Sports Arena for hours as a student to see Harold Minor, under Hall of Fame Coach George Raveling, dunk on the Bruins, Arizona, and everybody else in his way – that was awesome. Meanwhile, John Robinson was hired to revive the football program…

  8. I think 99% of people who actually care about USC basketball feel he already is on the hot seat. If it weren’t for Haden hiring him (and not wanting to admit he hired someone grossly under-qualified) Enfield’s seat would be on fire.

Two conference wins per season and the very bottom of the PAC? And you are in LA and have what are probably the best facilities in the P12?

This is literally the worst team in USC history.

And this is basketball, which operates by one-and-done for the best players, it isn’t football where you get a long time to build up a team. Each season or two is the lifespan of a team. He’s running this program into the ground.

  9. Andy is just slightly more inept that your KLOWN head football coach. You don’t think the student section at UCLA is going to yell out and ask…’is that a Basketball coach” prior to the game do you?
and….that’s why they call it LIMBO U!

  10. usc is last in the PAC 12. Hot seat? Heck NO! Andy is doing a fantastic job! Give him an extension!
