    • Peter Sirmon is dissing QB/LB recruit Porter Gustin in that tweet. Why do they hate and diss each other so much at usc??

  1. Do you have a problem with this, Scott? Your cryptic Tweet once again leaves it up to the readers (and trolls) to fill in the gaps, as usual…..BTW… Lamar Dawson is looking pretty good, is being vocal and demonstrating strong leadership skills in practice, so far… finally

  2. We need Lamar Dawson to play up to his potential this season. Anthony Sarao is improving, but far from where I thought he would be at this stage in his career. If they both play better this year and not put all the pressure on our freshman LBs than it will benefit everyone.

    • Sarao, and the other starting LBs had a down year last year. They were much better the year before. Maybe it was the scheme. But the word is Dawson is looking very good and ready to reach his potential. And with a handful of good corners, the defense will attack more this year and provide opportunities for the LBs.

      • I was being kind with my words. Truth is they’ve both been complete let downs. They were both army all Americans. And have struggled. Dawson was given #55 without earning it and it’s been looking like a horrible investment. I’m glad to hear he’s been playing well, but until I see it in the game it’s just hearsay. Don’t get me wrong, I am pulling for them.

        • Sarao showed a lot of promise as a Sophomore and played well.

USC should never give out #55 till the player’s senior year. Leave early, and you don’t get to wear #55. Prove yourself on the field and not from high school hype, and you get to wear #55.

          • I agree with that. It’s very good idea. But if the player is truly worthy of wearing #55 I doubt he would come back for his senior year.

      • I agree with you. With Adoree and BIGGIE on the corners it will allow the LBs and even the Safeties to play more free to blitz and attack more. More blitzing will produce more interceptions as well.

  3. Is that a shot at the incoming freshman Porter Gustin? He played QB in high school…

  4. That whole leadership thing over at South Central is greatly OVER RATED… Shaw (Childrens life saver/balcony jumper) and Pullard (“I wasn’t even supposed to be there”) were both TEAM CAPTAINS/LEADERS….Who’s gonna be the man this year???/ Dixon/Fitzpatrick or perhaps there’s some other “special aDMIT’ (woman punching Neanderthal) waiting to called on.
    figt On!
