Here’s two ways of looking at USC’s victory over Arizona State today at the Pac-12 Tournament:
1.) The Trojans are young and improving and finally coming together as a team.
2.) It took Andy Enfield 31 games to finally register an interesting victory?
Scottie’s prepping his questions for next year. If they are VERY good in ’15 – ’16, it will be, “Why did it take them this long?” Scottie, this was the plan from the outset. Develop the YOUNG players – the youngest team in any Power 5 conference, and build for the next two years. Yes, they sucked this season. But talk to anyone who knows the conference – they’re building the right way. Have I been to a game this year? No, so what credibility do I have? Not much. But the strategy is clear.
Exactly…and if you can manage to keep a team together for 2-3 years, they can mature together and develop the type of chemistry that a team of “1 and done” players can’t always achieve….
Yet another shining example of Scott overthinking the progress of the team, especially if it means saying something nice about Enfield or the players development…..
I just read the line score of the game, and it was pretty pretty improbable SC would pull the game out as the following illustrates:

Scott: Enfiled has been terrible as coach, certainly record-wise, in his shirt years here. However, nice win and building for the future with a young team. While that may be an excuse, you have none. After years of writing jealous and pandering nonsense to bRuin trolls, you still suck.

The team has improved and the victory is an indication of that,several close loses could have gone the other way and all that is also interesting…he gets 1-2 more years to show a lot of improvement or be shown the exit door…another season like this and hope he sends out feelers early…probably a nice guy…they finish last…

I do not define a lot of improvement as last place,do you??? I would define a lot of improvement as the upper 1/2 of the Pac 12 and incl the tournament finish in the upper half…2 years rarely is enough time to turn things around and install a new system…but you may believe as you wish…SC has no recent BASKETBALL history, except for teams with coaches they fired, of reaching the NCAA…that seems rather strange to me…think about it…
