Oklahoma TE Transfers To USC

Oklahoma tight end Taylor McNamara announced via twitter he would transfer to USC, where USC obviously has a glaring need. McNamara will be immediately eligible. He only played in 11 games with the Sooners and caught one pass.

  1. Wow, Klown U/Sark land an 11 game and 1 catch TE. McNamara was always wide open in Oklahoma games. Klown on SUCCster’s.

    • No question he needs to improve, but, if he continues to develop, he should be a viable threat in the red zone……

  2. I think we went after him the year we got Jalen Cope Fitzpatrick. And he was a 4 star that year. That’s all I can remember.

    • He was also a RS sophomore, so he still has two years of eligibility remaining, according to sources…….

  3. This is a great addition to the program. Tyler is a ( local ) San Diego kid and he is a legit tight end 6′ 5″ 245. He will contribute this season !! Nice pick up !!

  4. Another interesting tidbit of news on McNamara’s pending transfer, from Ryan Abraham:

“The Trojans have no initial scholarships remaining in 2015, so McNamara will come in as a blueshirt, counting towards the class of 2016. He joins Gardena (Calif.) Serra three-star wide receiver Deontay Burnett and Anaheim (Calif.) Servite four-star offensive tackle Clayton Johnston as blueshirts who will be eligible to play in 2015 despite being 2016 initial counters.”
