What Compensation Should USC Ask From NCAA?

What do you think USC’s compensation should be from the NCAA? The return of vacated victories? Extra scholarships? Money? An apology? What else?

  1. One meeelion dollars. “Austin Powers”. JK. Seriously a bag full of money and scholarships.

  2. The NCAA should just blow off Southern Cal for five to seven years just like Southern Cal did during the investigation!

    • NCAA should compensate USC by taking away the 11 basketball bought championships from ugly. If the NCAA can investigate for over 8 to 9 years, then they can open up the investigation for ugly’s cheating ways 50 years ago, find them guilty, and hand them a 10 year probation with 10 scholarships pulled each and every year. Take away all the awards that Chitin’ Wooden won and we can call it even.

  3. All of the above, except the apology. That’ll never happen anyway and who cares. The NCAA has been fully exposed. We’ve all seen behind the puppet strings. Let’s drag them through the mud and see the rest of the emails they refuse to turn over. That’ll be the best punishment that won’t directly compensate USC.

  4. All of the above except for the apology – we’re an apology culture – meaningless. An extra scholarship a year for nine years, funded by the NCAA. By then, the NCAA will be out of the Division 1 football business.

  5. $200,000,000 to start…all victories…national championships…every single member of “investigation team” losing their jobs…have Mark emmert clean Travelers stall for three years.

  6. Don’t need no stinkin’ apologies.

And I don’t know where the NCAA would come up with tons of money even if SC were to prevail at trial.

Best bet is to confirm that the investigation was ill-conceived, negligently prosecuted and maliciously directed at SC. Troy will not obtain extra scholies, but I would fight for reinstatement of vacated wins and the silver trophy, and Bush’s Heisman.

    • I agree with you on all accounts – except Bush’s Heisman. The NCAA was malicious in their actions but nobody has any doubts that the Bush Family took money against the rules. Bush should still have to pay for his actions.

      • True, Helen, but if the evidence gathered against him was tainted then there might be a chance. Of course, it would be a long shot at best.

        • If Bush was innocent then why didn’t we see him also file a lawsuit against the NCAA? I don’t think Haden would want to showcase Bush’s Heisman at USC after all that has happened.

        • Walnut, why are you so dim? Bush had to (legally compelled) reimburse Mr. Lake the funds Lake fronted Bush’s parents to cover the nut on their showboat rental home + Lake’s legal fees.

The blame for Klown U sanctions rest squarely on Garrett and Reggie Bush’s shoulders – not the NCAA.

          • Then why is McNair beating the crap out of the NCAA in court? The NCAA has already offered McNair an 8 figure amount to settle. Your idiocy is so fun to watch every day. Dummy.

          • Stinky, the McNair thing is totally separate from the Klown U Sanction.

McNair’ lawsuit is claiming the NCAA deliberately and maliciously defamed him causing McNair’s inability to obtain gainful employment etc, etc.

          • Can you ever keep up? Typical little gutty who still doesn’t understand the NCAA had to go through McNair, at any cost, to take down USC. NCAA officials have already admitted this under oath. Defaming McNair implicated USC. No sense explaining any more to you, the dumbest Bridesmaid Uer on the planet.

          • McNair implicated Reggie Bush, not Klown U., because SUCC wasn’t Leonard Lake’s illegal client, or funneling illegal funds to Bush’s parents.

Stinky, If as Klown U claims, it wasn’t aware of the Bush Illegal payments, what could McNair implicate Klown U for – Ignorance?

          • They are lumping McNair and USC together. Either way it’s a reflection on our school.

          • The Klown U AD you need to address your issue with is exiled at a Div 3 or lower college in bumf**k Oklahoma. Whine to Mr Garrett.

          • Questions:
Did McNair disclose his dog torturing convictions to SC ? In writing ?
McNair has said he told Pete
Did SC HR blow it, or did they catch it and
Pete wanted him anyway ? Where was Garrett ?
Convicted and unrepentant dog torturers don’t
get benefit of doubt, at NCAA or anywhere else.

          • NCAA has not offered, period.
McNair is a convicted dog torturer, which came to light in the investigation. Nobody wants him, not for nothing.

          • i have to say you sound so slanted in your opinions. Why even share them, they never change.

      • Therefore Red, any games Bush participated in after Dec. 2004 (when declared ineligible for those payments) are automatically forfeited.

An NCAA Div One team can’t utilize an ineligible player PERIOD – regardless what the NCAA thinks of Klown U.

That rule applies to all NCAA teams.

      • what exactly did he do??? his mom and step dad got the guy to let them rent some house at some reduced price…what else? not the usual BS MADE UP MAYBE STUFF NCAA STYLE…and ucla’ers need not reply…that is extreme prejudiced BS…he should have kept that trophy, whatever some phony scout did SC did not do and the football team/school benefited ZERO…

        • Cheapskate Reggie brought this on USC. If he didn’t stiff the agents we never would have had this whole terrible chapter in the history of the university happen. Please don’t claim otherwise now.

          • His parents got some deal as I said…then he chose another agent, and the scorned asshole /cheater model squealed about the deal he knew was illegal, although it was withthe parents not Reggie…SC had nothing to do with it,and it sure did not make Bush a better player to benefit SC and he lived on campus not at parents home;sue them for getting a better rent situation…

    • Well Bush surrendered his Heisman to the NY Athletic club, who presents
the trophy if I’m not mistaken. I don’t think the NCAA could reinstate
the Heisman if they wanted to (and they don’t). It’s not up to them.
The best analogy would be the PGA Tour has no ownership of sway over the
Masters, that’s owned by Augusta CC.

  7. Unless USC or the NCAA take some new action this is pointless to speculate. Sanctions are over move on unless something actually happens otherwise.

    • Giv’em an Honorary Doctorate in dog torturing !
Too bad those convictions came to light and now nobody wants Tod. Too bad the NCAA didn’t trust a word he said after learning his background. Too bad we cheated.
      Move the eff on.

  8. Shouldn’t part of the compensation SC should ask for include the UCLA handing over the 3 wins over USC? lmao

      • These three years will forever be remembered as the best days ever for bRuin fans all over BelAir and bRentwood

    • An** nimus….3 in a row. Nicely done. But come on. Look at yourselves. Did you do anything beyond that. The big giant across town USC was on sanctions and you didn’t win the conference, you didn’t get to a New Years day bowl which happens to be played in your stadium. You grabbed some of our recruits and took 3. That’s really it. We came out of the sanctions feeling pretty good. The damage from Westwood has been felt, but not major.

        • Gotroy22, I agree with you 100%. I am not a wordsmith. I should’ve said my thoughts a little different. 3 in a row against them dorks never feels good. I meant in the overall outcome of SC being on sanctions and UGLYs so called “success” as a program. Meaning yes they beat us, never fun. But they didn’t do much after. They were 0-7 against Oregon and Stanford. They didn’t play in a BCS bowl despite winning the south a couple times. They had an opportunity this year at a playoff berth but fell on their face against Stanford. The Top players in all of the west just singned to SCs #1 class. Any true bruin is happy for a 3 game winning streak against their crosstown rival. My cousins and friends who attended UGLY brag all day about the streak, but they are pi**ed that nothing else has happened in Westwood. That was my point.

          • My disappointment is that we literally had them in ruins after the 50-0 slaughter, which could have been 100-0…but Kiffin let them get off the mat and now they are actually competitive.

          • But now we are building with top players who actually came to SC because of the tradition and because they want to play for this coaching staff including the head coach. Kiffins recruits were coming to play for the school not him. Talent, numbers, camaraderie, and coaching. That’s what we are heading towards.= SUCCESS

          • Yes we will be back on top unless our coaching gets in the way. If SC hires an AD who brings in a great coach like Pete Carroll then we will be unstoppable.

          • I think if Lamar Dawson, Kevon Seymour, and the safeties play well we can win the south this year. If Seymour doesn’t play well early, mark my words that Iman Marshall will takeover and never look back. I know he will be a true freshmen. But we haven’t had a corner like him since the days of Daylon McCutcheon, Brian Kelly, Jason Sehorn. I’m realistic. But we can do big things this year.

  9. wolfman, you KNOW we love you like a BROTHER, but if ANYONE should be apologizing, it’s Southern Cal!!!

insofar as I am aware, they have NOT disputed that Reggie hauled off HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS in extra benefits (aided and abetted by Todd McNair) or that OJ got envelopes STUFFED with cash!!! and don’t even get me STARTED on Women’s Tennis!!!

Southern Cal should apologize to Larry Scott and every Pac 12 school for dragging out conference of Champeens thru the MUD!!!

    • So Charles, what is your opinion of the Final Four being played in Indiana?….. it’s a little too late to move it ……

      • too late for THIS round. but with a plethora of Fortune 500 Companies running away from this like the plague, the Hoosiers will rue their new Hate Law. even the Mayor of INDY is blocking implementation!! (plus it will never survive a court challenge)

is the GOP TRYING to alienate EVERYONE?? 85% of Gen X and Gen Y’s are AGAINST anti-gay discrimination….the idiotic GOP is gonna have no one left after the current crop of old decrepit racists die!!

  10. “ALL OF THE ABOVE” !

And look into any possible criminal violations !!

    NCAA = S.C.U.M. !!!

    FightOn

  11. Dummies at the NCAA shouldda DELETED the emails!!

NO ONE is as smart as Hillary!! she told the chump Senate commission: “oh you subpoenaed me?? DELETE!!! sorry chumps!!!”

  12. Wolfie knows what he’s doing – stirring the sad trojie pot knowing that there will be no compensation coming. Ever.
