Tim Davis Surfaces

Former USC offensive line coach Tim Davis was hired at Northern Arizona last week. He was at SMU last season and Florida before that. Every time USC’s offensive line job opens, fans and ex-players push Davis as a candidate.

  1. Funny, Scottie didn’t criticize Davis for switching schools every year like he did for Bob Connelly.

    • So true. Davis never met met a job he didn’t leave quickly. In fact, both Davis and Norm Chow have had zero success since their days at Troy. Zero.

      • Maybe there is a clue in your post somewhere, like Davis & USC are a good match……… you think?

        • Maybe the clue is why a 58 year old OL coach ends up with the NAU Lumberjacks, coming off an asst OL gig at SMU. I’m sure that’s always been his dream job. Some job trajectory.

          • OK, you do wonder why he was coaching a lowly NAU O-line. But NAU, isn’t a high school program where the current USC O-line coach was plucked from. Again, it is what Davis accomplished while at USC under PC that I and evidently others remember. Maybe you remember too?

          • Tim Davis is a simple journeyman OL coach, now on the downside, who benefitted from an amazing amount of player talent at USC, all orchestrated masterfully by Pete Carroll and recruited by Ed Orgeron.

USC doesn’t want Davis back, never has wanted Davis back and he’s never coming back. Too bad for you. Deal with it.

  2. Tim Davis was the O-line coach PC brought in and USC started running up & down the field against everyone. Why wouldn’t USC supporters not want him brought back? The question is, Scott Wolf, why Sarkisian thinks Davis isn’t good enough for his coaching staff and some high school coach he just brought in is?
