  1. It’s Doug Widtfeldt, you nimwit. Poor guy can’t even get his name spelled correctly by the “Inside USC” beat writer. Pathetic. Woflie is so far removed from USC, it’s not even funny.

Please copy and paste from The Official Site of USC Athletics a little slower next time.

Who was the basketball MVP in 1979? Oh that’s right, nobody remembers or cares.

  2. That year, 1979, rang a bell. That was Purvis Miller’s team, who was one of SC’s greats, so if Mr. Widtfeldt won MVP over Purvis then he must have been pretty good. Unfortunately, I only remember Purvis.

    • My immediate response as well.

Times have changed. Just a few decades ago a “full” life was making it into the 60s

Now, when I see that anybody under 70 has died, I feel it is not fair.

  3. Doug and Jim McCloskey lived down the hall from me in Men’s West. Bill Bordley next door. Doug was a low-key, pretty good guy. Way too young to go, God bless you Doug.
