USC Ranked No. 21

With Nathan Smith’s commitment today, USC has four commitments for the Class of 2016. That puts the Trojans at No. 21 in Rivals.com’s current rankings. Miami already has 20 commits and is currently No. 1.

  1. Thanks Scott for keeping us informed on this tight race that is coming down to the wire. You got the scoop man!

  2. So 2-years hence in 2016 SC has got about 4 recruits and Miami already has almost its full allotment of 20?

    20 will always trump 4

    And has college football recruiting gotten ridiculous, or is it just me?

  3. Miami has 20 commits. No 5* and 15 3*. They probably won’t even be in the top 25 when all is said and done. So who has the best ‘average’ rating so far? USC, at 4.25! Granted, 4 does not make a meaningful N whatsoever, but this has to be the stupidest topic known to mankind…at this particular point in time. What’s next?…
    a poll asking what the actual inflation PSI was of the football by that nasty USC rascal?
    In the words of my posting nom de plume,,,Muerde Me!
    Check with Bucket for translation.

  4. Watch out Trojan fans it’s no secret if you follow recruiting closely, tomorrow Mater Dei OT Frank Martin will also be choosing USC!

  5. Cuts both ways. Schools like Penn State and Texas carved their way towards so-called “elite, top-ranked” complete signing groups before the prospects even started their senior year. Paterno and Brown learned the hard way that if the evaluations aren’t correct, too many early commitments will sink your ship faster than you can say, “This dynasty is over.”

    • You don’t have a good coaching staff. Period. In the meantime, UCLA just traded WAY up in the Bradley-Ulbrich exchange.

      Reality = headache for Trojan fans

      • I love this. Bradley, the child molestation Peeper who covered for Sandusky, fits right in with the little gutties. bruin showers will never be the same now that the Peeper prowls in Westwood.

  6. Funny how no one is mentioning the fact that UCLA is ranked #11 on Rivals, 10 spots ahead of SC. Bruins already tearing it up over SC in the southland, landing #1 west prospects Brandt (DE) and Toailoa (ILB), who picked the Bruins over the Trojans. Don’t worry, someday SC will once again have a coach who, well, knows how to coach. In the meantime, bow down to the owners of L.A.

    Bruins = Southland dominance
