      • Poor Golly-Nerd got the short straw at the Super Megafest Comic Con Best Costume Contest Saturday night in Boston. Better luck this week Golly-Nerd!

  1. What a coincidence…

“LA recruit Sotonye Jamabo led police officers on a “five- to seven-minute chase” before being arrested Saturday night, the Dallas Morning News reported.”

That’s the same amount of games that UCLA is expected to win next year…

  2. It’s the same face he had after each failed bar exam, that would be 8 for you rah rah’s

    • Yet, he STILL managed to accomplish more in his life than most of the trolls on this blog……

      • Yes Kraps, Lenny really helped out in the 38 – 20 UCLA victory . I make Lenny 0 – 2 against da Bruins.

    • First, that is a B.S. myth. Secondly, Tama, let’s see your law degree, SC degree, Heisman Trophy, college and NFL Hall of Fame awards, your college and NFL championships, you being one of the most successful in your second field for a decade, and someone knowing or caring about who the heck you are. Stop being angry at others for you being a loser Bruin wannabe.

      • I’ll wager Williams’ o/u wonderlic score is 5. Why can’t Lenny drive. Did he flunk the written DMV written test three times.

  3. KILLING Nubsie to remain silent, it must be!

heap blind praise onto the Dark Sith Lord Garrett, he cannot.

exiled he must remain, or multiply his adversaries will.

another Dummy’s head on the Cadre’s wall, hmmm?

    herh, herh, herh!

  4. At next years heisman trophy ceremony mike garrett will be the 50 year winner, and they will have a video presentation of him. Hopefully for Garrett’s sake they will leave out the part of where he eventually took over as AD at his school. He was a horrible AD, who lucked into the Pete Carroll hire.

  5. After mike Garrett hired Paul Hackett to be the usc football coach, I had a conversation with a guy who played for Hackett at Pittsburgh. He said “I cannot believe usc hired this guy to be their head coach.” He said that none of the players at Pitt respected Hackett. Apparently players would talk back to Hackett, and Hackett wouldn’t do anything. I don’t know why Garrett ever hired that guy.

    • Hackett was a highly experienced and successful OC and had a good career as coach. The truth is that, A) he was using SC as a stopping place for the NFL which is always a problem, and B) USC was squalid at the time. The players themselves looked at SC as a place they went before going to the NFL. Lest anyone forget, USC actually had players that sued SC for misrepresenting playing time– how entitled is that?! Boosters were acting like all you needed to do was to throw more and more money at players, as if that worked after 20 years of futility. What Garrett and Sample (by empowering him) did was clean up USC, and that started with the Robinson firing, when Robinson tried but failed to do an end around Garrett to keep his job. Hackett restored a semblance of discipline by throwing out troubled players right and left but he wasn’t fully committed. Carroll was Garrett’s hire, because Garrett believed in defensive football, running, NFL experience. Carroll himself talks about how he convinced Garrett by doing a whole presentation to him based on what the philosophy that he had been working on since his NFL firing. If that is “luck” then we need more of it because 20 plus years we didn’t have it.

Also, Garrett’s “luck” gave us the best USC basketball since Boyd 50 years earlier, and the best “luck” in vs UCLA and in the Directors’ Cup for all around sports in 50 years as well. But I guess Garrett “lucked” into a Heisman, and “lucked” into NFL championships and pro bowl and HOF career as well. Couldn’t be super competitiveness and hard work and great attitude. Noooo, never that.
