Quick Thought

Earlier this week I mentioned a Pac-12 study found athletes are exhausted and don’t feel they have enough time for academics. Maybe if Larry Scott stopped scheduling basketball road trips that have games on Wednesday and Sunday, less athletes would feel this way.

  1. Long have the readers debated whether or not Wolf reads the comments. Once a week, someone pounds on the Wolfman about “less” versus “fewer,” yet he never learns. Does this mean that he doesn’t read the comments… or does it mean that he DOES read the comments, and he persists in his errors as a subtle form of trolling his readers?

    • wolfman used the term “anyways” last week and T-Fail, who used to religiously protest usage of same, didn’t even notice!

i used to use it all the time just to annoy him (tee-hee).

    • For someone who advertises himself as “the scourge of internet posters” you can bet Scottie reads his own blog. I can just imagine his daily dilemma… should I attend practice today or surf the Internet for fallacious material to post.

  2. Wolf, I’m surprised. You made an intelligent point. The way the school, the conference, and the NCAA wring every last penny out of these unpaid performers, all while talking an empty game about the nobility of the student athlete, is the pinnacle of hypocrisy. I agree. It’s probably the most one-sided bargain in the country’s work force.
