Five First Round Picks (Cont.)

CHART

I’m not sure who the above chart (click to enlarge) is a bigger indictment of: Steve Sarkisian (for his records at Washington) or Chris Petersen (for his record last year).

  1. 3rd option? a credit to Sark’s ability as a recruiter. Come on Scottie, scrape off some of that crust on your old melon and free yourself to shine some like on Sark’s positive qualities. You appropriately crush him for not finishing games, etc. Can’t always be the naysayer. We’ll still support you if you opt for a balanced perspective.

  2. Indictment?? Let’s save the word to fit a crime. …Sark has done an excellent job in recruiting players. He ,with his staff continues that excellence. So we know as a coach he gets the players, let’s give him this season to show us his coaching will correct the mistakes of last year, and the excellence of the programs history is restored… SW,you have the best program in College football to report, and you most times blow it.

  3. You guys are missing the real shocker here — Wolf spelled “indictment” correctly.

    • underestimating the wolfman again….a most hazardous blunder.

wolfman’s blog is so instructive, it satisfies the triennial CA Bar requirement for MCLE’s. and you are probably still sitting thru boring seminars.

      • If only that were true, I’d have enough credits for the next 20 years!

  4. Scott, did you even bother listening to the ESPN commentators during last nights draft?…..a couple of of the teams drafted the Washington players only after consulting with Sark and getting his vote of confidence……in fact, the current coaches at Washington allegedly spoke very poorly of 1st round pick Marcus Peters, who was dismissed from the team prior to last season…..a bush league move by Chris Petersen, IMO…Jon Gruden said that Peters is the best CB in the draft and that it’s not even close….

    • Don’t you agree that being insubordinate with assistant coaches and having a public meltdown on the sideline during a game in front of the whole team and fans is “bush league” and would bode poorly as an indicator of future behavior, Garry Bleauz?

      • You ALWAYS deflect things through the lense of USC, just like Scott….and completely IGNORE the point I made about one of Scott’s LEADING candidates for the USC head coaching job…..and what was bush league about Sarks meltdown?… immature?..of course it was and I’m sure that he and Haden regret that it ever happened…..that being a guaranteed indicator of future behavior?…. are you serious?……Your incessant stalking of me, Helen and TF3.0 is CLEARLY an indicator of your future behavior……GUARANTEED!!!!

        • SARK’S meltdown? What in the WORLD are YOU talking about, Garry Bleauz? YOU won’t address the FACT that Peters is deeply troubled emotionally and will be a RISK as a draft pick. The UW coaches were RIGHT to express their opinion of his performance. Responding to your INANE comments is NOT “stalking” EXCEPT to someone like YOU who is PARANOID. If you and the Rachel Maddow of Inside USC are such delicate flowers that you can’t engage in robust debate and take criticism without screaming “micro-aggression”, then stop posting, YOU FAT FREAK!!!!

          • Sark? Huh? I thought you were talking about Mora and that assistant coach of his with their ‘love-in’….(my apology to Redbone)…Come and Get Your Love!”

          • Their opinions were obviously meaningless. ….kids a first round draft pick. ….two sides to every story, Mr. High and Mighty!

    • Petersen’s biggest threat will quickly be merging from Corvallis as Andersen begins to mold OR St. into a contender for the Pac-12 north.

‘If’ Petersen et. al. made those remarks about a 1st round pick from last night in Chicago the prospect is well rid of being there – let’s see what recruits Petersen produces.

Also the feint praise from Mora per Hundley’s skill set a la the NFL was telling – as usual Mora’s assay was more on Hundley’s ‘less than ready for primetime’ and NOT on his own staff’s inability to change Hundley’s lack of throwing deep – either way Hundley’s biggest error was stating one year too long then again time is never on the side of a player who is playing beyond his ability esp. from Westwood.

  5. Nelson Agholor was the 14th USC wide receiver taken since 2000, including 7 in the Top 2 rounds…….

  6. It isn’t even a story Wolf. We all already know Sark is a great recruiter, can spot great talent, and may have helped build those kids into NFL caliber players
