USC-UCLA Picture Of The Day

CARD.STUNT.1957

In 1957, the Trojan Squires pulled a memorable prank at the USC-UCLA game. During each Bruins card stunt, a cardinal and gold “SC” appeared in the upper left, as seen above.

  1. I bet most people didn’t lock there front doors during that era. The level of trust has slowly erroded to the point to where we are today. Now parahnas, feed off the trustworthy. Hit and run accidents are common and you can’t trust any unsolicited offer without knowing there is an agenda behind it. No more card stunts nowadays, that requires trust and cooperation of the student body; that era is long gone.

    • It would be cool to have a nighttime iPad stunt…..same issues regarding trust exist though…

    • Is that what it is?– trust and cooperation of the student body. I would have a hard time believing kids today (no matter how self-centered and materialist) would not be able to jointly put together a card stunt.

      • They would consider being ordered to change the cards to the next stunt to be a microaggression.

  2. 1957,SC fans needed something to make us smile;we won one game that year.

  3. And not one mention about the guy with the bass drum being Art Bartner ? Wolf is missing a free shot here.

  4. 1957, the last time SoCal outsmarted UCLA.
Since then they mostly outsmarted themselves.
