DEL.RIO.HALLI asked Jack Del Rio how much he wanted the USC job in 2013?

“I still want this job. Just kidding, I love my job (with the Raiders).”

  1. No surprise here. ..neither the question, nor the idiot who asked it…..at least he called his shot earlier today. ..

    • I heard there was a puddle on the floor in the vicinity of where Scottie was standing. But really, don’t journalists ask question to bring out new information – what was Scottie expecting Del Rio to say.

  2. Scott, how about some love for Harold Miner. He went into the USC Hall of Fame also. He didn’t have an nba career, but the guy has gotta be at the top when you talk about the best basketball players ever at SC. Congrats Baby Jordan!
No disrespect to any of the other inductees.

      • The nickname “baby Jordan” was perfect for Miner. At a time when Jordan was hitting his peak in the NBA, Harold Miner for college played like the lefty version of Michael. Every game he brought it. A career full of highlights.

        • I always thought that nickname was Miner’s achilles heel as it set the bar so high that he was never going to achieve success.

  3. I’m not sure what University Athletic Directors, or NFL Team General Managers use as a measuring stick for a potential hire, but I do know it hasn’t been too successful for the most part. How Pat Haden passed over Jack Del Rio for Steve Sarkisian is baffling to me, because Del Rio has tremendous leadership skills, which is a major ingredient for success at the College level. Can you imagine the intensity the Trojans would have had every time they stepped on to the field under Del Rio ? and he could have hired a great offensive coordinator, along with some effective recruiters.

  4. Pat Haden! Do you hear that? Del Rio still wants the southern cal job! When Sark goes “eight wins” again you can hire Del Rio to replace him. Maybe he can bring Duane Bickett with him!! Come on Dummies start googling Bickett!!
