When you recruit all the talent in the world, 8 wins is unacceptable for a power house like USC. And I don’t want to hear any nonsense about how young the team is, or depth issues. The big problem here is, the athletic administration hired a questionable coach, so I’m going to wait until after next season before I make any evaluations with the program. Because the only thing Steve Sarkisian has proven is that he’s a great recruiter, but then again, SC is one of those Schools that can pretty much recruit itself.
He has a lot to prove. 9 wins his first season is better than most if not all those that preceded him. USC is a great place to recuit for, it doesn’t recruit itself. He should recruit top 10 classes yearly, anything less wouldn’t be good enought. He hasn’t done anything? Washington won 0 the year before here started. He turned that program around and left the cupboard well stocked, 3 1st round picks last draft. We’ll see how he does, it’s too early to claim anything more then optimism.
