Did Anyone Win The Gauntlet?

UCLA leads USC, 95-85, but no winner’s been declared for the Gauntlet (Crosstown Cup, whatever). The teams could conceivably meet again in baseball (unlikely but possible) and there seems to be some issue with sand volleyball according to some people who track the competition. So we will just have to wait and see when a winner is announced.

  1. Regardless of which school “wins” The Gauntlet, I’m sure that BMW will think twice about investing their sponsorship / marketing dollars into this farce when their contract comes up for renewal……Lexus sure did…..

It’s no secret around here that you’re always eager to post news such as Bryce Dixon’s dismissal from the team…..could you please be just as quick to post interesting “inside” news, such as Sophomore linebacker Uchenna Nwosu, who sat out the Holiday Bowl, coming back to USC this season?……Heck, according to the attached article, you were one of the first reporters to mention that Nwosu wouldn’t be playing in the Holiday Bowl, due to a misconduct issue (fighting with a teammate), although he wouldn’t have played anyway because of an injury…..heck, you even got props for this in the article, Scott…..but now, you’re inexplicably silent…

      • The name of the teammate was never revealed, to the best of my knowledge……in fact, the only source that I could find that claimed he was involved in a fight was none other than our every own Scott Wolf….go figure…..
