  1. What’s next a free tour of your local McDonald’s. Why would anyone want a tour of the coliseum?

    • I don’t know. Maybe because the Olympics, Dodgers, and Championships have all been apart of the Coliseum. You must be from Bel Air.

      • If you go to a usc game you see the coliseum. The only other thing is the press box, and locker rooms.

        • Coming from a lifetime fan of USC that sounds awesome. Kris Richard pulled my little brother from the stands and took him back to the locker room with Carroll and Palmer after we shutout UCLA in Pete’s first season. And he said it was awesome to see everything. I guess you gotta be there to appreciate it. So my brother says. But I wouldn’t drive all the way from the Inland Empire and actually pay for the tour.

  2. Host Stadium for two Olympiads (X and the XXIII), 1st Super Bowl, Papal mass Pope John-Paul II 1987, 1959 World Series, Kennedy’s acceptance speech after the 1960 Democratic Convention, largest crowd of >134K for Billy Graham 1963, George S. Patton’s last public speech prior to his demise, Mary’s Hour, home to both UCLA and USC until UCLA prudently bolted to seek their own identity after the 1982 season.

It is the most storied extant stadium in the entire USA – it is an incredible statement of the foresight and vision of Angelinos in converting a dry dusty town to become the 2nd largest city in the USA and one of the biggest reasons is the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum (a Memorial for the veterans of the 1st World War) – how appropriate this coming Monday.

    • Don’t forget Metallica and System of a Down in the Summer Sanitarium Tour.

      • I saw The Who in the late ’80s at the Coliseum. What a group! Teenage Wasteland indeed. They play later this year at Staples.

    • Ray…because they sacrificed for you and me to have the freedom to pay and go on tour of the coliseum. You on the other hand always complain about our government and protest the great laws of our land.

  3. Owns is offering FREE self-guided and guided tours of Moe’s on Monday. Both Owns and Homer have the day off. (take the self-guided offer-Owns will be so drunk you won’t be able to understand him)
