USC Tailback Dominic Davis Runs Wind-Aided 10.39 100 Meters

Incoming freshman Dominic Davis of Alemany turned in a speedy 100 meters at the CIF Division 3 100 meter final yesterday at Cerritos College. Davis ran the 100 in 10.39 seconds, which was the third-fastest time among all four divisions. But the wind was 4.2 miles per hour, which is above the legal limit.

  1. Great speed regardless of wind..R.Jones has run 10.59 without wind mid season, may have gone faster…great incoming speed at tailback..

  2. USC defeated AZ St. 6 – 3 to take the series at Dedeaux – meanwhile ucla dropped two extra inning games (back-to-back) @ Eugene against OR.

Seedings due to be announced tomorrow

  3. Davis was pretty close to Bob Hayes 64′ Olympic time of 10.06 – <.4 of a second regardless of wind – good for Davis kudos for Alemany.

  4. TCU has a blazer in Darrion Williams. He was in the 10.2 area and 5’10 180, so he has good size. Terry Jernigan had some struggles with grades but he is also one of the very fastest and will be going to CSU. He catches the ball well in traffic, is physical and at 6’1 180. Micah Larkins as a cornerback is blazer who goes for the ball (strips well) and is in the 10.2 area. Tito Windham is a blazer that Oklahoma got for corner back in the 10.3 area as well. Bryce Balous is another 10.3 kid who has some size 6’0 190 that OkieSt signed and projects as safety. Oregon got a 10.3 kid in Ke’von Buris, a WR who they locked in early. Stanford got a great kid in Isaiah Brandt-Sims, 6’0 190 who is like Balous only more of a burst and better skills.

  5. He has loads of talent, but unless he puts on 30 pounds he will be in the secondary, sooner then later.
