Another USC-UCLA Over/Under

We now have our second over/under season-victory total for USC and UCLA and it’s not much different than last week. The sportsbook 5Dimes lists USC at 8.5 and UCLA at 9.5. So we seem to have a split between the initial sportsbooks and preseason college magazinez/Danny Kanell. Or this is some lack of faith in coaching?

Pac-12 win totals are after the jump:

Pac-12

Arizona: 7 (over -150, under +110)

Arizona State: 8.5 (+130, under -170)

Cal: 5 (over -130, under -110)

Colorado: 4.5 (over -140, under +100)

Oregon: 9.5 (over -165, under +125)

Oregon State: 4 (over -110, under -130)

Stanford: 9 (over +100, under -140)

UCLA: 9.5 (over +100, under -140)

USC: 8.5 (over -105, under -135)

Washington: 4 (over -185, under +145)

Washington State: 5 (over -130, under -110)

No line yet: Utah

  1. Don’t try for the analysis Scottie…. Just present the facts. Don’t want to see you out-kick your coverage.

  2. The sports books have the Klown U O/U at 8 to 8.5 games in 2015.

Danny Kanell, some Klown U shrill, has SUCC a pre-season #3.

Guess what the rah-rah’s screaming about – “We’re #3.” LOL.

        • Gets funnier every time you post it. Tee Hee. Now get to your AA meeting. Your sponsor worries about you. BTW, as long as you’re going to be drunk all the time, could you please start tipping bucket? He pours you a really strong drink. It’s obvious.

    • HAWR-HAWR!!!!

Southern Cal is taking the bait…..AS ALWAYS!!!

they BELIEVED the rah rahs in the From One to UN!!! season, and just look at the below dumbbells ID: 15 in 15!!!

      what a laugh!!!

    • Maybe “shill” is what you’re looking for? Yeah, the dude who called SC a Klown Kollege is a shill – definitely. Go with that.

      • Gosh Lamont, thanks for the Enquish lesson.

Shrill is an adj, and defined as “high pitched and piercing,” which describes Mr. Kanell’s rah-rah, sugar rush prediction.

I do agree with you that Mr. Kenell is a shameless shill who SUCCs up for Klown U recognition.

        • Still sounding like a true SUCLA SUCCer after all these demented entries…LOL!!!

        • Yeah, it’s a word – misused, but I’m sure you won’t do that again. Glad Klown is still worth sucking up to in Bruin minds….

  3. It’s the lack of having a proven defensive line with experience and depth….

    • Perhaps the schedule has a little something to do with it. SC travels to Eugene and South Bend. UCLA doesn’t play the Ducks and it’s toughest out of conference game is at home against BYU. But hey, common sense doesn’t seem to weigh heavily with Wolf.

      • Probably….although both schools are breaking in new QB’s….but you’re right, both places are a major challenge for visiting teams….Wolf is a contrarian and he relishes the attention that he gets from it….

        • Yes..but both schools are talented and tough places to play. SC will probably be an underdog in both. And then you have the Sark factor….

          • you’re probably right, but I don’t mind being an underdog….it helps give the kids an edge… something to prove….the weight of having high expectations, no matter how unrealistic they may be, can be taxing on a team…. look at what happened to UCLA last year and USC several years back…..like it or not, these kids read the press clippings (talk about a dated reference…do people still even do that anymore?!) and social media… don’t kid yourself….and after suffering painful losses to the likes of Stanford, Oregon State, Georgia Tech, ASU, Utah, Boston College and UCLA, trust me when I say that I never underestimate any opponent and I never take anyone lightly….

          • We just need to beat Stanford at some point. Those boys have owned us.

These kids read and believe a lot of stuff coaches can’t control, except the very best of them, Meyer, Saban…but it should be an interesting year. Personally, I think the teams that fly a little under the radar do best most of the time. Nobody was praising Ohio State last year until the end.

          • True….now we’ll see how Ohio State does this year dealing with the weight of high expectations…personally, I think they’ll be fine and make the playoffs yet again…..they are obviously deep at QB and have a powerhouse RB and a solid defense….and they play in an average conference, at least until Harbaugh is able to get Michigan back in gear…..

          • Wow, Garry Bleauz breaks down the Big 10 for us! What insight, OK I’ll spring for the WeareSC subscription if I get this kind of info!
