Adoree Jackson jumped a wind-aided 25-feet, 8-inches in the long jump today at the West Regionals in Austin, Texas. Jackson finished seventh and advanced to the NCAA championships in two weeks.

    • uh, got to side with the wolfman on this one….the use of apostrophe following acronyms is an acceptable usage in virtually all modern style sheet and usage guides. One reason is some acronyms look weird without the ‘ such as:
      “there are many “

      • So close, but–not surprisingly–wrong. The Chicago Manual of Style (among others) allows the use of apostrophes with acronyms which use periods, but not with those which do not.
