Catcher Garrett Stubbs: “I think we play better when our backs are against the wall. I don’t think anybody is going to think about elimination. Our energy will be better. We play better after a loss.”

They are not yet a national championship contender.
Don’t understand pitching Davis well into the ninth. He obviously was struggling even with some shod ding fielding. Possibly could be used on Monday if team survives if had been taken out in seventh.
I was there the kid pitched really good, but should’ve been out of the game in the sixth. Hubbs has to remember this is double elimination, day to day baseball.
Hubbs must be a follower of Baltimore Orioles Manager Earl Weaver…
