USC Post-Game Reaction To 6-1 Loss To Virginia

Here’s USC coach Dan Hubbs after the game: “The kids didn’t seem nervous. I didn’t think we swung the bats as well as expecgted. We didn’t have a ton of contact.

“We’re pretty resilient.”

Catcher Garrett Stubbs: “I think we play better when our backs are against the wall. I don’t think anybody is going to think about elimination. Our energy will be better. We play better after a loss.”

  1. Attention Dan Hubbs…..I know little league managers who could’ve out coached you today!

  2. re….we play better after a loss..
and there’s PLENTY OF LOSSES for southern cal in just about ALL mens sports…

maybe we should change OUR MOTTO from ‘fiyght on’ to ‘WE PLAY BETTER after a loss’

  3. Come on, be real. If they were rational, SC fans should be happy Troy made the playoffs.

They are not yet a national championship contender.

  4. Don’t understand pitching Davis well into the ninth. He obviously was struggling even with some shod ding fielding. Possibly could be used on Monday if team survives if had been taken out in seventh.

    • I was there the kid pitched really good, but should’ve been out of the game in the sixth. Hubbs has to remember this is double elimination, day to day baseball.
