  1. Question of the day:

What will last longer, Nick Young’s contract with the Lakers, or his marriage to Iggy Azalea?

    • Bovada Sportsbook has the over-under on their marriage lasting at 3 years…….

    • I’d be surprised if Nick Young is on the Lakers come the start of the season. Byron Scott has already penalized Nick for not playing defense, and at this point in his career I don’t see Nick changing.

      • He has a guaranteed contract for 3 more years. I don’t see a lot of trade value. If Nick returns to his 2013-2014 season, he would be a steal for the Lakers. His contract pays him very little in today’s NBA. Prediction: Backup small forward next year to Kobe.

  2. When Nick says, “She said yes. It’s over man.”, did he mean his basketball career is over? Since he starting dating this “White Chicks” star, his basketball game has gone in the toilet.

  3. After the Wolfman kicked her to the curb, it was just a matter of time before someone swooped in and caught her on the rebound.

      • I lobbed up that one for you like I was CP3.

It’s all part of what I will dub this blog’s New Era of Respect and Friendliness, or “NERF” for short.

        • That was a belt level, softball pitch if I ever saw one…..Charles grabbed the low hanging fruit and ran with it……

          • Ha!… no….. gotroy22 convinced me to rename my handle in the spirit of having a kinder, more gentler blog environment and eliminate any subliminal or perceived negativity toward UCLA……….

  4. How about a little good news, academically, for the football team?

    According to THE RIPSIT BLOG:

“The football team had its highest semester (2.71) and cumulative (2.52) GPA on record. The cume figure has improved each of the past four semesters. Nearly a third of the football roster (a record 33 players) posted a Spring 2015 GPA of at least 3.0 and, for the third consecutive semester, nine football players were on the Dean’s List.”

    • Interesting statistic because according to the Pac 12 Website,at the end of the most recent football season, USC was the ONLY repeat, ONLY Pac 12 school without a single player on either the first or second Pac 12 All Academic Team. That’s like zero as in last place. But hey, it’s good to hear your boys are improving, there’s nowhere to go but up.

      • Thanks!… It really is about improvement….that’s the hallmark of our program…. to always Fight On!……..we don’t just stand idly in the batters box with our bat sitting on our shoulders watching a third strike go by, and, with it, our entire season go down the drain….and BTW>…thank you for repeating it!

        • Kraps, UCLA has no excuse for losing. Maryland was the better team and the better team won. Case closed.

Now about the SUCC men’s basketball team: what’s your penny ante excuse for the Klown U Basketball team winning a grand total of 5 Pac-12 conf. games in two years.

One UCLA player took a called third strike. The whole SUCC basketball program took a brick.

Lastly Kraps, don’t forget – UCLA owns LA FB.

          • Why are you referring to USC as SUCC??? …. and Klown U????? ……are you attempting to provoke USC fans on this blog????..those terms are NOT very flattering, and you know it!!!.. Clean up your act!!!!

          • You’re quite offensive to meKraps, but I’m not whining like you. Same old, same old uh Kraps. Smoke a cigar.

          • Are you bullying me???… Let’s stay on topic and discuss USC sports, sir!

          • True, your handle should be changed as to not offend our Westwood readers..

          • Yes the whole Pac 12 was overrated in baseball this year. Hope football doesn’t follow suit.

          • Cal definitely deserves credit for it’s season. They really surprised me and played A&M tough as nails. And they won the series in Berkeley.
