USC Baseball Players Sign Pro Contracts

Outfielder Jagger Rusconi of West Ranch High School in Santa Clarita, signed with the Boston Red Sox for $384,000. USC second baseman Dante Flores, who was drafted in the 18th round by the Chicago White Sox, also signed a contract. Previously, pitcher Tyler Gilbert signed with the Phillies.

  1. Congrats to them all. It’s always disappointing when our high school players opt for the big leagues. Flores had a good season. Hopefully we can hold onto our top pitching prospects. The two kids coming out of High school who’s names I forgot, but look very promising if they make it to school.

  2. Lost junior Bobby Stahel in the draft to Colorado as a 20th selection.
Two non-drafted under class men Blake Lacey and Timmy Robinson are definitely needed back along with the three pitchers Davis, Wheatley, and Twomey plus Huberman if allowed to stay on the team. Any word on the above mentioned players would be appreciated. Thanks.
