USC Picture Of The Day

BOBBY.KENNEDYRobert Kennedy (left) and actor Robert Vaughn greet USC students after Kennedy’s speech at Bovard Auditorium on Nov. 4, 1965. It was almost exactly five years after John F. Kennedy addressed USC students a week before he was elected President. Robert Kennedy visited a plaque on campus that memorialized his brother’s speech.

  1. A mere year 17 mos. before, President Lyndon B. Johnson and Mexico’s President Lopez Portillo jointly gave the commencement at UCLA for their graduates at which I was present at.

As Lincoln said (paraphrase) “…mankind’s last hope is America..” Lincoln also noted that no foreign army would ever conquer (…drinking water from the Ohio River) rather it would be a slow steady and incremental corruption of our very character that would cause our downfall.

The USA maybe in its twilight maybe not – I do know were we not a place where dreams come true no one would come here…they do because even in what truly may be our waning moments of what make sand made us unique in world history, regardless of what the left-leninist-marxist ‘professors’ inject into their lectures we the United States of America is and are unique in world history.

The left’s goal is threefold destroy the:

    1. USA
    2. Catholic Church
    3. Israel

    Resist the left

      • Always … always …. – Troy! And respect for our adversary…

Los Angeles – as I always tell the kids I teach “Do you realize that no matter where you go in this world of ours when anyone anywhere should ask you where you are from all you have to say is ‘LA’!

Everyone – everywhere worldwide ‘knows those two letters ‘LA’!

No place anywhere has the dignity and uniqueness that Los Angeles has…’LA’ I know other will intone about ‘DC’ yes but outside of the USA that’s about as useful as ‘DF’ (Districto Federal)…’KC’ (which one? MO or KS?)

New York loathes us and hates us but more importantly what they won’t admit is that they truly ‘fear’ us. Why? Because we don’t care as we absorb the refugees from the ‘five boroughs’…

The City Of The Angels….the city that has the most powerful base of college football in the entire USA and that alone drives New York City mad.

Were it not for Troy there would be no professional sports teams in Los Angeles – no Olympics…no Super Bowls…USC proved to the skeptical interests there was worth south of the Tehachapi Mountains – specifically the University of California considering creating a ‘southern’ campus.

“Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war!”

        • Otis, it’s is true that “LA” is totally unique and recognized over the world.

Now Otis, I know you’re going to hate this – But acronym UCLA is also totally unique, a University recognized over the world for unmatched academic excellence.

Now if in the same vein one should mention SC or USC, one might be referring to Southern Colo, or the Univ. of South Carolina, est. 1810.

    • Left is on a HOT STREAK BOYEEEEEES!!!

Condrerete Flag down, Rainbow flag UP, ObamaTrade, ObamaCare, we CANT LOSE, BOYEEEEEEEES!!!!

  2. If Scott was an actual reporter, he might have mentioned that Vaughn is a Trojan. He holds a PhD from SC.

    • Wow, I never knew that. Robert Vaughn also did something rather unique in movies; he was in The Magnificent Seven, and then many years later he played more or less than same character in Roger Corman’s “Battle Beyond the Stars,” which was basically a knock-off of The Magnificent Seven set in space.

      • Nice film trivia, I will have to check out “Battle”, Magnificent Seven is a classic. Don’t forget Napoleon Solo in The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and
Major Paul Krüger in The Bridge at Remagen

  3. chucker….was this down time the work of that RASCAL yodah…..??????

    • Yoda’s the one who got the wolfman back on line!! i reckon it was either ISIS or the Conservatives on this blog who pulled the plug!! they both hate the Cadre and the wolfman because they can’t beat us.

really, it’s hard to tell them apart: religious zealots who want to judge everyone else, while ignoring their own deviant conduct!!!

  4. Bring up politics and it is ‘Katy, bar the door time.’

I’ve never seen much profit in getting it on with anybody over politics or religion; even if you have the facts on your side in argument, it just seems to galvanize your opponent in becoming more entrenched in his/her beliefs.

That said, and with July 4 approaching, it is time to take stock in all the beautiful things available to us lucky ones who reside in the
    U.S. of A.
