A Four-Star Might Commit To USC

Wide receiver Michael Pittman of Oaks Christian High School, who originally committed to UCLA, but then seemed to favor Oregon, will decide on the Fourth of July. USC, Washington and the Ducks are the finalists for the four-star prospect.

“I went to USC and fell in love with USC,” Pittman told the Oregonian. “I’ve been to USC before, but they never showed me everything. I got the full one-on-one tour. Every coach came out.”

  1. Do recruits ever tell you anything, Wolfie? Or are you only capable of getting already printed info from other writers who actually speak with players and have sources?

    • I don’t know what goes on because I’m not physically there, but if I had to guess…Wolf doesn’t make the attempt for interviews from these recruits. At least try and ask “so who’s your top school right now?”

  2. Pittman is just using USC to get more publicity when he commits to Oregon.

    • There’s some legit interest on our end, but not as much interest like there was two months ago for Pittman. This feels like Cordell Broadus (lil snoop) having an SC hat on the table. It almost seems forced.

Still I’m never surprised anymore in recruiting.

  3. Dude, I just read the article from The Oregonian and this blog post reads like a term paper from the UNC African American Studies program. Slightly alter the order of the words in the first paragraph, pull a quote and turn it in. I think you owe Andrew Nemec, the article’s author, lunch next time you’re in Eugene.

  4. I guess the Hot Burrito Box put southern cal over the top! No soft serve necessary!

  5. Where to start? There are just too many lampoon-able aspects to this post. I’ll keep it short: Saying a 4-star athlete might commit to SC football is as newsworthy as saying P Diddy might have another outburst at whatever school his soon transfers to.

    • Or that Thug Diddy might take another header the next time he performs at a something awards gig.

    • PDiddy’s son will not be kicked off the team, and he will become Team Captain – or else!

  6. OMG a real life 4 star, Wolf? Seems so unlikely with all the hard luck Sark and Co have had lately with that “parade” the other day, recruits that were all actually 4 stars as well, but HEY bro, who is paying attention anyway? People always forget don’t worry

    • Probably one of SW’s worst titled posts..Sarcastic and insulting.. MIGHT be a lot of 4 stars and a couple 5 stars that might commit to USC.How many Mights are there.? What does a might become if they verbally commit now? Do they become someone who might sign in Feb.?Might some of Wolf’s 3 stars ,might become 4_? ….Mighty Might.Might Alabama add to their 6 3stars?
      Might be…..

  7. Pittman is solid, but there’s a few targets ahead of him on the recruiting board.
    Tyler Vaughns
    Travon Sydney
    Javon McKinley
    Freddie Swain (from Florida)

We’ll be be fine with whatever decision he makes. I wouldn’t be surprised either way, but I’ll predict him to Oregon.

  8. By the way…
2017 4 Star cornerback Thomas Graham from Corona Roosevelt was offered a scholarship at the Rising Stars Camp, and Wednesday will announce his college choice. USC, Ucla, Asu, Oklahoma, Michigan.
His sister will run track at SC this year and it’s their dream to be in college together.

    Prediction…USC!!!!!!!

  9. Hey ugly rents the rose bowl, what I like about this story is that he was orginially commited to Thug U aka ugly. After going to see USC he dropped Thug U like it was the black plague. he woke up and smelled the Roses, unlike Thug U going to the Alamo Bowl once again. HA HA HA
