The Lakers seem to be begging fans to ask free-agent LaMarcus Aldridge to sign. And of course, a celebrity just happens to have an Aldridge jersey. Almost as bad as that Dwight Howard campaign a couple years ago.

UPDATED: Fittingly, the meeting with Aldridge was apparently a disaster.
Is this now Inside the Lakers?
If haven’t heard it, in the spirit of “cut and paste journalism” that we all know too well, you gotta hear this Harbaugh interview with Colin Cowherd – too funny, Harbaugh gets obliterated! http://espn(dot)go(dot)com/college-football/
It was weird – Harbaugh wouldn’t say a thing – Cowherd bluntly stated (20 minutes later) that there was little mystery as to why SFO offered him (Harbaugh) to CLE. Cowherd
also compared Harbaugh to former NE HC Bo Pelini – Riley huge upgrade @ NE.
Cowherd-“Thats why I bring Urban Meyer on and Steve Sarkisian on the show.” (To promote their team)
Cowherd-“I don’t know what else to say. That was a clunker.” (Interviewing Harbaugh)
sas – righjt!
Yes he did – he called Sarkisian ‘Steve Sark’ just after he mentioned Meyer ‘Steve Sark’
Must be pretty quiet on the SC campus. But hey, the Tour de France starts this weekend, maybe Wolf will have cycling updates. I’m sure there’s an SC connection if he gets creative.
Harbaugh was off his meds in that interview.
Link didn’t work.
Duhhhh cuz yu gotta replace the (dot) with a (dot)
Have Garry Bleauz show you how to properly post links at the next Scott Wolf Stalkers meeting Thursday night.
This guey is a complete loser, who can’t learn how to paste an encoded URL.
YOLO is right – the Ducks nearly won the Stanley Cup it’s baseball season but all you hear on sports radio here in LA is the Lakers and Clippers nonsense. It never ends the adoration of the thug NBA – worst is no one ever calling Kobe Bryant ‘Bryant’ then again maybe that is a subliminal way to mock him using that put$ name ‘Kobe’ – man what a first name.
BTW anyone have an idea who the fool up there is with the Laker jersey on? I have a feeling he post’s here with three different id’s.
Love the arms – they look like some columns in a Turkish bath house
Just stumble into a Turkish bath did you? Rub-a-dub dub eh Otis.
Lots of respect to you as well 🙂
First you cheer against your own country, now you’re ragging on my Lakers. That’s strike two Wolf!
Wait, the official rah rah line was that womyn’s sports don’t count. Has that suddenly changed?
I don’t care about you women’s soccer, but I wouldn’t cheer against the U.S. in the World Cup.
You care about soccer?
Not really
They are desperate because San Antonio just cleared cap room for Aldridge. If you want to play for a championship contender, who would you rather play for, The Spurs or the Lakers?
The Lakers are not good and are not going to be good anytime soon.
Not true. The Spurs are on their last legs and will be devoid of any talent in the next two years. The Lakers, on the other hand, have a wealth of young talent under 20 years old and will be a force for the next 10 years.
Helen, you’re two for two – you know little or nothing of CFB or pro basketball.
Rick Town is what, sixth or seventh on the socal QB depth chart?
Off the wagon still?
Skip the point, and throw some mud. Typical Klownster.
Unlike UCLA, QBs want to play for USC and we have a stockpile of top talent waiting in the wings. Town will be ready when needed 3 years from now.
Another case of malpractice?
Gotta agree with Owns. You know little about B-Ball. The Spurs have Danny Green, one of the best three-point shooters in a three-point shooting league, and Kawhi Leoanrd, who only needs more minutes to how that he is an elite talent. They have a ton of talent stashed in Europe waiting for Duncan, Parker and Manu to retire in two years.
The Lakers, meanwhile, have Julius Randle, who is coming off season ending surgery. He might be good, but there are questions about his athleticism. Need to run and space the floor in today’s NBA. D’Angelo Russell might be good, it’s too early to tell. Other than that, where is the wealth of young talent under 20? Clarkson? Can he play with Russell? Their styles really don’t mesh well. One of them is going to have to learn to play off the ball, and neither of them have done that ever in their careers.
The Lakers have to hope that Clarkson has to go take his game one step higher and either Russel or Randle show promise to become superstars. Then maybe they can hire Thibodeau and grab someone in 2016 or 17.
Green is far from an elite 3-point shooter and will falter when Duncan retires and defenses no longer collapse in the middle. Leonard is one dimensional and never develop past where he is today; plus he will take the free agency route and leave. Oh yeah, a ton of soft European talent to replace Duncan and Parker and Manu – not going to happen.
Russell and Clarkson will develop into the best backcourt in the NBA for the next 10 years. Randle plus a free agent, like Monroe, plus Black & Davis will fill out the front court nicely. The Thibodeau mystery is gone – the guy is poison and will be lucky to get another job coaching.
Helen. There are rah-rah’s, then there is you. I do have to admire your optimism. Or mental illness. Or both.
Like all the lost trolls on this site, you react to fact-based arguments with juvenile personal attacks. But please continue this behavior as we find it very amusing and it makes our day to laugh at trolls like you.
1.) I don’t troll here, usually, unless someone post something so blatantly wrong that i cannot ignore it.
2.) Your argument was not fact-based. It was faith-based, but not fact-based. For example, there is no fact-based evidence that Julius Randle will be any good other than he was a lottery pick, b/c most of the stars in the NBA are lottery picks. But Anthony Bennett was the first pick in the 2013 draft. He is bad. Kwame Brown was the first pick in the NBA draft. He was bad. Adam Morrison . . . you get it (or do you?) My point is that until Julius Randle plays a season in the NBA, no one really has any idea. He might be the next Charles Barkley. He might become a younger Carlos Boozer. He might become a serviceable role player.
3.) Jordan Clarkson was the surprise of the year. But against the top PG in the league, he got he lunch handed to him. Can he progress? Will the league figure him out and can he make adjustments? He is also a slasher who likes to have the ball in his hand. You know who else has a score first mentality who likes to have the ball in his hand? Kobe! And D’Angelo! Can they play together? I don’t now. Neither do you.
4.) Is D’Angelo Russell any good? See #2, above.
5.) You do get the irony of pooh-pooh’ing the Spurs’ stockpile of “soft” foreign talent to replace, among others, Parker and Manu (both of whom or foreign) don’t you?
6.) Your comments about Leonard and Danny Green pretty much prove Owns’ point that you really don’t know much about basketball.
Troll on.
Scott, about as bad as YOU trying to have Kiffin hold up a Los Angeles Daily News paper for a “selfie”.
Scottie, I think they call this social media PR.
Mr Wolf
I’m not sure your barometer for desperate is what one would use to judge. One only has to look at the last weeks worth of your columns and you could win Mr Desperate 2015.
JW
Woody, you remind me of Mitch Chumpchek. He needs 20 words to say yes or no. Your barometer of enquish skills continue to drop; Nellie says take ESL class. Oh well.
The LA Laker troika: Little Jaime Booze, Mitchie Chumpchek and Goober ” the black Adam’s Apple” Bryant. Soon the Lakes will be playing at socal’s level.
Ever since they let Kobe sit in a Free Agent Pitch Meetings !!!!
No one player in the League can kill a deal like Kobe !!! Only player that he wants to play with is ” I’m smarter than everyone Rondo! ” Cut Kobe …. Sign LA and lets get back to winning ….As Long as Kobe is running the team, we’ll be in the basement!!!
It’s KOBE, it’s MITCH, and its JIM!
WTF are they doing!!!!
Sorry, but the only Trojan in town that knew anything about basketball was Dr. Buss. He knew enough to hire Jerry West. Now one Jerry is dead and the other one is helping Golden State.
Jimmy? Well THAT apple fell a long ways away from the tree.
What bout Bill Sharman?
I meant to include the words…in recent times. Point well taken. Sharman was a Trojan AND a Celtic. Trying to forget that combo! One of the great coaches of all time.
I figured you had respect for him.
He also had a great run as Lakers GM putting together a large chunk of the showtime era teams before Jerry West took over.
Funny that SC fans liken the trogans to the Lakers and UCLA to the Clippers. I guess there’s a lot of truth to that these days! Disaster on!
